At first, I’d thought Loïc had said it, but two young men were standing by the door.

Fuck. How much of that had they seen? Were they going to get us tossed out of the club? Or worse, were they going to call the cops?

My brows drew together, and panic rose in my chest.

“Does your wife know what you let boys do to you?” one of them asked with a grin.

“Of course. His wife chose me, herself,” Loïc said smoothly.

“Wow. His eyes are still glazed over. Poor little straight boy doesn’t know what hit him,” the other one teased.

That was it? A bit of ribbing?

The two strangers started making out, taking the spot I’d been standing in as soon as I vacated it.

Loïc washed his hands while I stood awkwardly next to him. He checked his still-flawless eyeliner. He’d deepthroated me so many times and never once gagged. The goggles on his head were slightly askew, so he fixed them, then dragged his fingers through his hair to smooth it.

“You go out first.”

“What about you?” I whispered helplessly, gesturing at the bulge in his jeans.

“Denial is good for the soul. I’ll take it out on you later.” His eyes gleamed with anticipation, and my ass clenched in response. I shuddered.

“Get me another beer?” he asked.

“Yeah.” I left the room, and as the door was closing, I peeked back in. The couple was still making out, and he was ignoring them, fixing the wayhis shirt sat on his shoulders. He wouldn’t hook up with randoms now that we were committed to each other, but I let my mind fall down that rabbit hole for a moment and realized I’d be hurt and jealous.

I’d barely sat down at our still vacant table when he showed up.

“The beer got here already?” he asked, amused.

“These were already here when I got back to the table after we left the dancefloor. I forgot about them.”

The bachelorette party was dancing again, singing an ABBA song at the top of their lungs.

“We should probably tell them we can afford to buy our own beer,” Loïc mused.

“I doubt they’ll care about that. They’re pretty drunk.”

“I hope they get home safely.”

“We’ll keep an eye out for them while we’re here,” I said. “A couple of men came in a while ago and there’s something off about them. They’re hanging around watching people, but they don’t look like they’re here for a good time.” There were two of them. The way they were dressed and their demeanor didn’t fit in. Hopefully, they weren’t here to make trouble.

Loïc casually glanced around and then back to me. “They wouldn’t pass Severin’s vibe check, that’s for sure.”

I eyed them with covert suspicion. At least they didn’t seem armed.

Loïc chugged half his free beer then looked regretful. “Damn. Now I taste hops instead of cum. I’ll have to blow you again later.”

Before I could respond, he grinned at me and took off onto the dancefloor again. My legs still felt boneless after the orgasm he’d given me, so I stayed where I was, enjoying the view.

I nursed my beer and watched him dance alone, lost in the music. Without me as an anchor, he danced more freely, eyesclosed, completely immersed. A sheen of sweat made his skin glisten in the chaotic lighting. His face was a mask of bliss.

Only a soul who’d suffered so much could find such exuberant joy in moving to music.

One song slid into another, then another. He was tireless. No wonder he always succeeded in chasing me down. He got his cardio in from dancing.

Maybe twenty minutes later, after I’d finished my beer, I slipped outside where it was quiet so I could call Tarryn and check in with her. The breeze was glorious after the sweltering club. A car passed, and the driver yelled a homophobic slur at me.
