I walked up the stairs to our room feeling so much better, but thinking I was in desperate need of a bath. Zev wiped me down last night, but I needed to wash my hair. When I walked into the bathroom, I took my shirt off, more than ready to get in a warm bath. I quickly realized there was no water and that was just one of the many perks of having Mr. Potter with us. There was no faucet to fill the tub with and I had no idea how to fill it without having to lug pots of water up here.

There was no way in hell that was happening. I grabbed my shirt off the floor and put it back on wondering if I could take a quick rinse downstairs. Goddess, what I would do for just a quick shower. A window flew open with a gust of wind making the basin fall over as water poured out of it onto the floor.

I rolled my eyes at the irony of the stream, but hating that it was on the floor. I grabbed a towel and soaked up the water when my intuition kicked in. I felt a small prickle at the edge of my awareness, closing my eyes as I took a deep breath. Nothing happened or stood out, making me think I was overreacting when I felt him.

Now I remembered what I wanted to tell them. My most important revelation from the vision I had, but Caston was here, and he was back to bring me home.

Iwas so fucking happy my face hurt from smiling so much. The guys and I were washing dishes as Katarina went back up to our bedroom. It was all very domestic and too good to be true, but I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.

“Now that we are free, will we stay here?’ Lucien asked, as he dried a dish.

“I don’t know,” I replied, truthfully.

“I think Katarina deserves some of the comforts of her modern life,” Zev said. “Maybe we can fix it up to give her that?”

“Maybe we can move in with our father-in-law,” Lucien joked.

Zev barked out a laugh making me laugh in return too, enjoying the easiness in Zev’s demeanor.

“Can you imagine the look on that man's face?” I laughed harder.

“He might have a heart attack from seeing his daughter mated to the three of us,” Lucien chuckled.

“Then we definitely need to go over to his house,” Zev added, but the playfulness had left his features. “He needs to be warned, she’s ours and we will protect her against anything.”

“I agree,” I nodded.

“After Caston, we can deal with him. He needs to be dealt with first,” Lucien snapped.

“He’s coming for her, we need to be prepared,” Zev said, rinsing the last dish.

A buzzing sound let me know our first detection spell had been tripped and my eyes widened.

“You might want to prepare now.”

We all looked over to see Ryder standing at the door to the kitchen.

“They just tripped my alarm,” I said, throwing the towel I had to the counter. “And how the hell did you get in?”

“Fuck, I was hoping for one more day,” Lucien growled. “But he dies today.”

“He’s brought a whole army. It’s not just him.”

I had never had a reason to doubt him, but people change sides all the time.

“We need to get out now,” he said, turning his head like he heard something. “Where’s Kat?”

“How can we trust you?” Lucien questioned, coming up to him as we all took the hint to surround Ryder. He was just as big as us, his wolf was just as strong, but that was it, he didn’t have any magic in him.

He rolled his eyes not looking scared at all.

“Look, I’ve always cared for the sisters.” He glared at us when we all growled at him. “Oh, for fuck’s sakes, Kat is like a sister to me. I… I…” He cleared his throat. “I loved Serena and there’s nothing I would do to hurt her or her sister. Soren and Gray would have my ass if I did anything to her. They always had a thing for her.”

I growled again at that information coming to light.
