She pushed away from Zev, but he held onto her as they stared at each other.

“Katarina,” he growled, in warning.

“Oh, shut it, Gerard is my Mr. Potter,” she snapped, and I remembered her talking about this man.

“Zev,” I said, hoping to ease his protectiveness.

He looked at us before he set her down, as she launched herself to Gerard. The amount of happiness in the bond was enough to settle my possessiveness. This was also the beginningof our freedom, and we were going to have to get used to it not just being us anymore. We were free and I think that was a small price I was glad to pay, but by the look of my pack, it might be a rough start for them.

KATARINA

“Ms. Katarina,” Gerard whispered, wrapping his arms around me. “I didn’t think I would ever get to see you again.”

“I didn’t think I would get to see you again either,” I cried into his shoulder, thinking of Mr. Potter and crying more.

I could feel the guys' impatience.

“Ms. Katarina, I think it's best if we stop, I feel I might be in danger,” he chuckled, as a growl came from one of them.

I pulled away from him, wiping my eyes.

“I told you he’s my Mr. Potter, you need to chill out,” I whimpered. “Gerard, these are my mates.”

“So, it's true.” I heard the happiness in his voice. “It's a pleasure to meet you.”

I looked up at him bowing to them, instantly feeling their contentment.

“I meant no harm when I offered to take her so you could get some rest. I apologize, and if you want, we can all get her to our healer, and I can secure you a bigger room.”

Gerard turned around when Lucien picked me up, following him. He kissed my forehead, whispering he loved me. My heart grew double its size, I felt warm and fuzzy, but most of all Ifinally felt free. Looking over Lucien's shoulder, Aeon and Zev were talking in quiet tones. They had pants on, but all those delicious muscles were on display while they conversed about escaping or worst-case scenarios.

“Are we safe, Gerard?” I knew he would probably lie to me, but I was also tempted to ask how much of the truth he knew.

He didn’t say anything as we continued to walk down a hallway. He opened the door, holding it open for us, as we walked into the small infirmary. It was modeled after something you would see in a hospital; it was equipped with everything you would need, even a surgery room.

“You can sit Ms. Katarina on the table here, our healer Sasha will be in soon.” He smiled at all of us. “You are safe here, I will make sure of that, you've sacrificed enough for us and for that I will protect you with my life, Katarina.”

He kneeled in front of us, leaving me speechless.

“Thank you,” Zev said. “Her safety and our child’s are the most important things to us.”

“Child? Are you with child?” Gerard stood up quickly embracing me again.

“Yes,” I said, hugging him tighter.

“Then I need to find Sasha now.” Gerard left quickly.

“How are you feeling, Katarina?” Zev asked, walking closer to me.

He looked exhausted, covered in dirt and blood. I reached for him wanting to feel him near me. Zev wrapped his arms around me, engulfing me in his warmth and the need to cry rose up again. I was really starting to hate these hormones.

“I’m so glad you're all safe,” I murmured, into his shoulder.

“Why the hell did you come back?” Zev pulled away from me to glare at me. “You put yourself and this child in danger for what?”

“What do you mean for what?” I snapped. “For all of you, you stupid dumbass. You think I was really going to leave you?”
