We all took that moment to spring into action. Aeon used his power as Clodius moved out of the way by using his power as a shield. The action surprised me, but gave me a great idea. Before he could hurl his power at us, I built four walls of fire around him. His power matched my own and I hated to say it was more powerful than mine at the moment.
“He should be weak!” Zev roared over the loud flames.
Let this side go. I can trap him before he even realizes it.
Aeon’s voice rang in my head while I fought to keep the flames up.
No time, you have to get out of here.I thought back to him.
I gritted my teeth as his power pushed against my own as I finally collapsed. The feel of electricity scoured through my body as I grunted in pain.
“You think I would let you win?! You think I would tell you anything?!” Clodius yelled.
The pain became so intense that I felt like my entire body was being ripped apart. I didn’t know if I was going to survive if there were no pieces of me left, but today was not the day I left Katarina.

KATARINA
The guys needed to bond, but they weren’t doing the group exercise that Lucien said they were. My intuition was telling me that they were going to Clodius, but I didn’t want to say anything. I just wish they hadn’t omitted that their training exercise was getting answers out of Clodius.
I wanted answers too.
It took me a while before I decided to go get my answers, whether they liked it or not. Lucien would be pissed, but I deserved to know whatever Clodius said too. Zev would have taken me, but I didn’t want to make an ass of myself if my intuition was wrong. I needed to start listening to her more.
Slipping on my UGGs, I grabbed a sweater and strapped my knives to my thigh as I followed my bond. My legs still felt shaky, but every day I gained more and more strength. The smell of my favorite soup almost made me ditch my plans, but not even Mr. Potter’s rolls would deter me.
“When you get to the statue, pull the bow down,” Mr. Potter yelled from the kitchen, and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Thank you!!” I yelled back, loving that man even more.
“Tell them to hurry, dinner is ready!”
“Will do!”
I walked towards the library following my bond, walking past it into a hallway that I didn’t even know existed. When I arrived at the statue, I took a moment to admire the beauty of the goddess.
“Thank you for your many blessings, please guide us with the curse and allow us to find the right solution,” I said, bowing my head, giving her the respect she deserved. “Please give me the strength to do what is right at the end of this year.”
I pulled the bow down when a door to the side opened up, but before I could move a sense of urgency ran through me. The goddess felt like she was staring down at me, telling me to go. I ran down the stairs, feeling Lucien’s worry and Aeon’s anger flare in me.
Something was very wrong and suddenly I heard a loudboom.
Clodius was a powerful, deceitful man and I had a feeling he had just laid out his web. I stumbled when I felt Lucien’s and Aeon’s pain.
Shit, shit, shit.
I arrived at the room they occupied seeing all of them on the floor with Clodius laughing maniacally. I quickly backed around the corner and grabbed two knives, peeking into the room to see Clodius standing over Lucien.
“I wonder what your nuts would look like if I?—”
I threw two knives before grabbing two more and throwing those too. Three hit my target.
“You stay away from my mates.” I snarled, stepping into the room throwing fire at him with everything I had. He stumbled back with several knives sticking out of chest, his body erupting into fire.
Zev roared and took advantage of Clodius’ distraction. He tackled him to the ground, getting a few hits in before removingone of the knives and stabbing him again before he was zapped. Clodius tried getting up, glaring at me, but for the first time, I wasn’t scared.
“You stupid bitch, you think these dogs can keep me here and demand information, you think I wouldn’t come prepared?” He tried to get up.
