“I was hired by many people, they wanted Katarina alive and away from you,” he said, but the look on his face told me that he wasn’t being entirely truthful. As much as I wanted to use my wolf to find the answers, getting zapped by electricity wasn’t appealing.
“We need names,” Aeon snapped.
“Her father, Caston and his family.”
“Did Caston know Katarina was coming here?” I asked curiously, wanting to know how much information he had.
He laughed. “Hell no, Caston was kept in the dark. Katarina’s father isn’t too fond of him, and he knew if he didn’t send Katarina away, Caston would most likely gain control of the family.”
“Then why marry her off to him?” Aeon asked.
“Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer,” he replied.
None of this made sense. Katarina said that she was sold to the highest bidder. If her father was wary of the guy, then why let him marry her at all. I knew you should keep your enemies close, but this was letting the enemy sleep with your daughter.
Hatred for her father grew like wildfire. He didn’t care about Katarina. It seemed all of his children were pawns to him. Did he even love any of his daughters?
“That doesn’t make sense, let him marry her, but—” Aeon’s voice trailed off as I understood what that meant.
“Who were you going to give Katarina to?” Zev looked on the brink of letting his anger take control.
He looked at all of us like he was debating on what answer to give.
“Lucien, do you know what happens to a man’s balls when heated up?”
“You know what, I’ve read about it, but I think I’d like to see what really happens,” I said, stepping forward, ready to take his pants off and get him talking.
“No!” He tried to push himself back, but Zev was there to hold him while we took his pants off. They were filthy as we tried to get them off, his panic made me smile. He started sparking all over his body like he was desperately trying to shock us, butwhatever Serena put in that Artifact was keeping him from using his powers.
“Fuck you,” he snarled, still trying to kick us away, but when we dragged his underwear down, I couldn’t help the laugh that escaped.
“Uh… why is it so small?” Zev was looking down.
“Let me the fuck go!” He was using all his might to try and get away.
“Damn, dude, is this stage fright or is it always that small?” Aeon looked perplexed.
“Fuck you guys!” he snarled.
“Is this a witch thing?” I laughed. “I don’t know guys, I might accidentally burn his entire junk off. I’ve never made a fire that small before. Here goes nothing.”
“Is this why you’re such a big dick? Because you don’t have one?” Zev questioned, still looking at him.
“Fine, I’ll tell you everything you want!” he yelled.
“Nah, I think we will be back tomorrow, our mate is waiting for us,” Aeon said standing back. “I think you really need to think long and hard about what we are asking you.”
“Don’t think about fucking lying to us.” I grew a ball of fire in my palm leaning over the chair. “I have no problem burning your tiny dick off along with both balls.”
“Maybe we can bring Katarina out here so she can witness the explosion,” I said, but as soon as the word came out, an explosion occurred that knocked all of us back. I hit the wall feeling the sting of the electricity.
Clodius’ laugh rang out.
“You fuckers thought I would help you? You are so gullible.” He continued to laugh.
I didn’t move right away, hoping he thought he had won. The others didn’t move either.
“I can’t believe she would mate with fuckers like you, she’s a witch and our kind doesn’t mix with dogs.” He snarled the last part as he got up from his chair but quickly fell.
