“Mmm, bacon,” I moan, crunching on the yummy goodness before pouring cream into my coffee and taking a sip. “Wow, this is so good, Sheldon. It’s the same blend as on the plane. Did you already water it down, though?”

Sheldon smiles widely. “I made it myself, not quite as strong as some brews.”

“Great first dates, amazing sex, and awesome coffee maker,” I say, nodding as I take another sip. “Anything else I should know?”

He smirks. “Pretty sure you’ll learn a few things when we go over all the rules.” He holds a croissant out for me, and I take a bite.

The pastry literally melts in my mouth. “Sheldon, it’s delicious. Don’t tell me you made these too?”

“Not hardly. That would be Gaby. She likes to spoil the guys when we’re all in one place. I need to make a quick call before we go. Be sure to put a swimsuit on under your clothes and use a lot of sunblock. We’ll take a walk toward the groves and down to the beach.”

“And what if I don’t swim in a swimsuit? You know this is Europe, and I’m fairly certain it’s completely appropriate to go topless on the beach, no?” I ask, half hiding the smile threatening to break behind my cup of coffee.

“Oh, you’ll be wearing a suit from now on, Lex. I told you, I’m a very possessive man, and I don’t share what’s mine with anyone.”

My smile breaks on its own, and his mouth quirks. “What’s so funny?”

“Absolutely nothing. In fact, that’s just about perfect because I wouldnevergo topless. I mean, I’m seriously such a prude.”

“Well, you certainly weren’t a prude last night,” Sheldon remarks, placing fruit and cheese on my plate.

I wrinkle my nose at him, not because it doesn’t look absolutely delicious, but a girl has to choose wisely, and there’s an entire plate of bacon sitting in front of me.

“It’s good for you.”

I give him a fake pout, looking up at him from underneath lashes not near long or thick enough to hide my contentment. Why does being taken care of and treated so special do crazy things to my wildly out-of-control libido?

“Finish eating and get dressed. I need to make a call, otherwise you’ll end up back in bed,” Sheldon commands.

We spendthe morning walking along the brilliant sea-green coast, letting our feet sink into the sand and the cool water run across our bare toes before finding a spot on the secluded beach to spread our large blanket under the sun.

Sheldon opens the picnic basket Gaby sent along. He pulls out a container with a lid and pours two glasses of a bright yellow drink before handing me one. “Limoncello. It’s made from the lemons grown on the groves here on the estate.”

I take a tentative sip of the fruity drink, and my lips pucker. “Oh, that’s perfect! Just the right blend of sour with just a bit of sweet. I didn’t see any lemon groves from the balcony, but I did see plenty of the grape vineyards.”

“We’ll go by them on the way back. It’s pretty impressive if you haven’t ever seen a grove of lemon trees.”

“This entire estate is unbelievable. I mean, there’s not a soul around, and the entire Tyrrhenian Sea is spread out before us. Look at the intensity of that color, Sheldon. It’s just all a little surreal.”

“It’s one of my favorite places to unwind, and while it is completely private, the cameras are on and the security team can see us. They’re just keeping out of sight as a courtesy, so no swimming nude or lounging topless, even though you said you don’t and even if you think you’re by yourself.”

“One of your rules?”

“Doing what I ask is one of my rules. We’ll discuss the others later this evening.”

“Well then, I’ll certainly try hard to contain myself,” I tell him, giggling at the thought of running around nude in public.

“You can give me a private show when we’re back in our room,” Sheldon states as he finishes the rest of his drink, takes both of our glasses, and puts them into the picnic basket. “Come on.” Standing and taking my hands in his, he pulls me to my feet. “Let’s go for a swim. The water looks fantastic,” he says, shucking his shirt and tossing it onto the blanket.

I glance around self-consciously as he stands behind me. “The guards can see us, but their view of you isn’t great. Take your clothes off, Lex. Let me see you in that sexy scrap of a swimsuit,” Sheldon instructs, the warmth of his breath turning my center to jelly.

Sheldon’s eyes darken with appreciation as I remove my clothing, and he takes my hand, leading me into the surf pounding against the edge of the coast and sending spray in all directions.

I laugh and shiver at the same time because the water is just so cold. Sheldon barrels forward, pulling on my hand and not letting go. “Ahh! It’s cold, Sheldon!” I screech as another wave hits the coast, splashes us, and sends me floating on its crest.

He smiles but doesn’t let go of my hand, tugging me so close I can feel the warmth of his arousal against my belly. Sheldon slides his hand under my neck, bringing me closer, his bright brown, mischievous eyes landing on me. “I knew the first time you gazed up at me with those gorgeous eyes that I wanted you to be mine,” Sheldon acknowledges, sliding his hands underneath my thighs and urging them around his waist as he wades us out a little deeper.

“I couldn’t tell. I didn’t think you were interested.”
