“Yes. I checked it three times. It’s perfect.”

That was enough for Michael to finally take the extra couple of steps and kneel down, gently lowering me into the water.

I moaned as the warmth surrounded me. My body was sore, and I could already feel it helping to soothe the aches. “This feels so good.”

Ben knelt at the side of the tub and reached over to cradle my neck.

“Lean back.”

For a moment, I hesitated. They’d already done so much. I loved how they were taking care of me, but I didn’t want to take advantage of them. Ben grinned.

“Let us do this for you, Tracy. We want to.”

“Okay,” I whispered. I leaned back into his strong hand, and Ben started to wash my hair.

For the next twenty minutes, I felt like a princess. I closed my eyes as Ben massaged my scalp, sinking down in the water while three sets of hands took turns washing my body. With soapy fingers, they stroked over every inch of my skin, taking extra care around my bruises.

I soaked up their tender touches, relaxing when they passed over my arms and back, then moaning when they focused their attention on my breasts and between my legs.

Michael had made it sound like they would be getting clean too, but that hadn’t happened yet. They were all undressed to keep their clothes dry, and even with the steam in the room, I knew they were cold.

Someone brought in more hot water, and I finally sat up and took over. One at a time, I helped them get their hair wet and shampooed, using a washcloth to scrub them down while they stayed outside the tub.

It wasn’t graceful. A lot of dunking and splashing and laughing was involved, and the bathroom floor was very wet by the time everyone was clean and rinsed. But we were all smiling. My tension from before was gone. Both my body and my mind felt lighter.

Griffin lifted me out of the tub, setting my feet down on a towel on the floor and wrapping me up with another. Michael stood behind me and gathered my hair up. I had a second to wonder what he was doing, then felt him gently tugging through the tangles with a comb.

“You guys should open a spa.”

I was grinning as I said it, but then the words registered. My heartrate sped up.Shit.

Simple words could throw me back into that day I was taken, and I hated it. I was standing in abathroom surrounded by my alphas, by safety. But in my mind, I was getting into a car with someone I thought was a friend, right before being drugged. The start of my weeklong nightmare.

“Tracy? Are you okay?”

The words seemed far away. I blinked, and then I was looking into Griffin’s worried eyes. I let my head fall to his chest, and he wrapped me up in his warm arms. Michael was pressed against my back, his hands on my shoulders, and Ben stood to the side, stroking my hair.

“I’ve got a lot to tell you.”

It was time.

GRIFFIN

My hands were balled into fists so tight, my nails cut into the skin of my palms. That tiny pinch of pain was all that kept me sane and seated while I listened to Tracy explain what had happened.

Tracy Jones.

After she paled and came close to fainting in the bathroom, we’d helped her dress before quickly dressing ourselves. Tracy sat on the couch between Michael and Ben. The nest was back to looking like a bunch of mattresses pushed together, cold and empty. I’d covered her in a blanket and built up the fire, and when I sat in the chair in front of her, she started to talk.

She was one of the two omegas who’d been kidnapped at a fancy spa a few years back. It had been all over the news. I’d worried about them at thetime, before they were found safe, even without knowing them personally.

I remembered thinking their alphas were probably losing their shit.

Every time Tracy’s voice wobbled or a tear fell down her cheek, I had to keep myself from standing up and breaking something. Michael kept shooting me glances, and I realized I probably looked crazed. With a huge effort, I tried to soften my glare, but I wasn’t sure it worked.

She’d been terrorized. But she’d also been brave. So had the other woman. They’d tried to escape. When Tracy described how her kidnapper had been killed, she broke down crying.
