Her eyes were glued to her hands, clasped tightly in her lap. For a minute, everyone was quiet. The air felt heavy. Then she lifted her gaze, turning to look at each of us while she spoke.

“The past few days have been really intense. Being with the three of you during my heat was… Well, it was amazing. And it was terrifying. The way I feel about all of you… It’s hard to put into words.”

I kept waiting for her to say “but,” and it was making it hard to sit still. A muscle ticked in Griff’s jaw. Ben’s brow was furrowed. When she continued, in a voice close to a whisper, all of us were leaning forward.

“I want to be your omega.”

It was like the three of us had been struck by lightning. None of us breathed. Her eyes darted around to our stunned expressions, and then she buried her face in her hands.

“I fucked this up, didn’t I? You want me to leave.”

“NO.” We all said it at once. Griff’s voice was right on the edge of a bark, but he held it back.

With my busted arm, I couldn’t reach for her. Ben was the fastest. He stood up, lifted her under her knees and around her back, then sat down on the couch with her sideways on his lap, her feet closest to me.

Tracy sat there, stiff, like she didn’t know whatwas happening. She slowly lowered her hands and looked at him. Ben smiled, took her chin in his hand, and kissed the fuck out of her.

It took a second for her to relax and kiss him back. When she did, it was like the air had returned to the room.

I cleared my throat. “In case it’s not obvious, we want to be your alphas.” The warm energy through the bond told me I was speaking for all of us.

Tracy detached from Ben’s lips, nodding, an almost shy smile on her face. She snuggled against his shoulder with her arms wrapped around his neck. He was purring.

The moment didn’t last, though. Griff asked her the obvious.

“When do you want to move in?”

At least it was a question, not an order. He didn’t just tell her the time and day.

Instead of bristling, she looked over at him and laughed.

“Yeah. So, we need to talk about a few things.” She faced me on the couch. “First, tell me about the arm.”

“Clean break. Hurts like hell with the swelling. It’ll be in a splint and sling for a few weeks, and I’ve got physical therapy appointments set up.”

I spared her the gory details. She was already wincing.

“What about the restaurant?”

“I’m training the head sous chef to take over for a while. It’ll be fine.”

“I can help you around the house, if you need me.”

“Thanks. I’m sure I can think of a few things you can do.” I raised my eyebrows and eyed her breasts.

It was juvenile, and I thought maybe she’d laugh, but she licked her lips. My cock was instantly hard.

I resolved to be diligent about my recovery, follow all my doctor’s orders. The sooner I could heal and get back to doing everything I wanted to her, the better.

Ben linked his hand with hers and bent to kiss the side of her head. “What doyouwant to do about the living situation?” he asked her.

“I was thinking we could take it slow. Go out to places that aren’t a cabin.” She grinned. “Get to know each other a little better. Before any of us move.”

Griff huffed. “Like, date?”

Tracy turned an even bigger grin on him. “Exactly.”

It was funny to see how his entire face changed when she smiled at him. His eyes were brighter, and he couldn’t seem to help smiling back. It was a softer version of Griff than I was used to.
