“Unfortunately, yes. They have more questions.”
“Do you need me to stay?”
Just then, one of the men comes out holding his phone.
“Where’s theshitter, Emery?”
“I can show you.” I straighten, as this is one of my mundane tasks.
Emery looks embarrassed to make me do these things. I’m no longer a plaything he paid good money for.

But he needs an assistant while his is out, and I promised to help him.
I’d sit at home all day worried and stressed, so this gives me something to do.
“Lars Masterssen,” the Swiss developer says to me and holds out his hand.
“Nice to meet you.” I cringe from his grip, hoping I thoroughly washed all the lube off my hands. “The men’s executive bathroom is this way.”
The other assistants are at lunch, and it reminds me, I haven’t eaten.
The corridor is empty, and Lars roughly cups my shoulder.
“Hold up,” he says with a brutal touch that alarms me.
“What’s wrong?”
“Not a thing. Emery bought you at that club of his, didn’t he?”
I freeze.
“That’s...”
Lars gives me a once-over, licking his lips.
“I investigate the people I deal with. In case I need leverage. I know Emery’s hobbies andtastes.If you’re good enough for a man like Emery Austin, you’re good enough for me.” His bold words make me rigid.
“I work for him, that’s all you need to know.”
Lars laughs at me, wide mouth, and bad breath.
“If he didn’t buy you, you would have said no, ortold me to go fuck myself.” He gets closer. “Nothing to be ashamed of.”
“The restroom is that way.” I try to leave, but he blocks me.
No one else is around. There are cameras, but I doubt this guy cares.
He’s a brilliant scientist from what Emery told me and has top-tier experience in solar development. He thinks Emery needs him, which he does.
I think about the three rich, powerful men I’m getting deeply involved with.
Theyare gems. Honorable.
My spine strengthens with the power I get from the men who adore me. I don’t want them to think they have to hide me, or that I can’t take care of myself.
“Sir, step away from me. You’re making me uncomfortable.”
