Lil laughed, “Food’s fecking awful,” she said. “Get me the hell out of this cage,” she ordered. Dallas seemed to hesitate, and Lil’s frustrated growl filled the warehouse. “What’s the hold-up?” she asked.

“I need your promise that you’ll be our leader,” Dallas said.

“Leader of what?” Lil shouted.

“Of the Royal Harlots,” Dallas shouted back. “A few of the women and I have decided that we like your idea. Savage has gotten in touch with the Royal Bastards and they’re willing to charter our sister club, we just need a Prez. How about it?”

“If it means you let me out of the cage, I’ll agree to be the fecking Queen of England,” Lil growled.

“Mean it, Lil. If you agree to be the Harlot’s Prez, then you’re really in.” Dallas waited her out and when she finally noddedher agreement, Dallas put the key into the lock and turned it, opening her cage.

“Thanks, Dallas,” she breathed.

“Come on, Lil,” Dallas said. “Our new club members are helping to hold the line while I get you out of here. It’s time to fuck up some Dead Rabbits.”

“Sid’s not here,” Lil said.

“Oh—don’t you worry about Sid. Cillian, Cian, and Savage have him and they’re having a little chat with him. I’m sure that he won’t be bothering you or Cian ever again once they get done with him.” Lil’s smile felt mean. She was sure that they would convince the Dead Rabbit’s leader to leave her and Cian alone—otherwise, they’d kill him.

“They’re offering him his life for ours, aren’t they?” Lil asked.

“Now you’re getting it.” Dallas handed her a gun and nodded to the front door. “You ready?” She was more than ready to get the hell out of that place.

“Ready,” Lil agreed.

“Then lead the way, Prez,” Dallas insisted.

Cian

They had Sid tied to a chair with bungee cords and every time the fecker moved, he’d bounce back against the wooden chair. It was almost comical to watch Sid thrashing around. He deserved so much more than being bungee corded to a wooden chair for what he had done to him and Lil.

“Let me go,” Sid shouted as he thrashed about.

“In due time,” Cillian said. “First, we need to get a few things straight. You see, as we speak, our women are taking back what belongs to us. You took my little sister, fecker, and I don’t take that lightly.”

“Who the hell do you think you are, talking to me like that?” Sid shouted at Cillian.

“I’m a member of the Royal Bastards—you hear of them?” Cillian asked.

“Shit,” Sid grumbled. “Yeah—I’ve heard of them.”

“Good,” Savage said, seeming to take over the conversation. “Then I won’t have to tell you what will happen to you if you come after one of ours again,” Savage said. “You see, Lil is more than one of ours—she’s the Prez of the Royal Harlots, and theyhappen to be our sister club in the Royal Bastards. You chose to fuck with the wrong people, man,” Savage taunted.

“No harm, no foul,” Sid said. “You said that your women went into my warehouse to get Lil out—so we’re good then.” Cian wanted to punch the smug smirk off Sid’s face, but he knew better.

“No,” Cillian shouted. “We’re not good. We need your word, as the leader of the Dead Rabbits, that you’ll not only leave town, but you’ll leave Cian and Lilianna alone.”

“I have business in Huntsville,” Sid challenged.

“I don’t get a fuck,” Savage shouted. “You take your organization and your business, and you leave town.”

“Or what?” Sid spat.

“Or we kill you—right here, right now. I don’t have a problem with that option,” Cillian said. “I mean, I’ve already done time and all. Plus, we wouldn’t have to worry about him coming back around.”

“That works for me,” Cian said. “This fecker destroyed my life and I’m ready to stop running.”

“What’s it going to be, asshole?” Savage asked. “Your life or your promise to leave town and not come back looking for Cian or Lil?” Savage pulled his gun from his hip holster, to help prove his conviction to uphold his promise.
