Sid didn’t look very happy about his options, but Cian didn’t give a feck. “Fine,” Sid shouted. “I’ll take your deal. I won’t be coming back to this God-forsaken town ever again and Cian and his woman won’t be on my radar.”

Savage looked at Cian as if to ask if he was good, and he nodded. “Works for me,” Cian said.

“Good enough,” Savage said. “Take his ass to the airport and put him on a plane back to Ireland,” he ordered.

Cillian untied Sid and pulled him from the chair. “Let’s go asshole,” he said to Sid. “You coming?” he asked Cian.

“No,” Cian said. “I’m going back to the bar to meet Lil when she gets back. We have a lot to talk about.” Cillian nodded and led Sid out.

“What now?” Cian asked Savage.

“Now, comes the second part of the plan. Good old Sid there is wanted by Homeland Security for being in America without a visa.”

“You’d think with everything that asshole’s done, they’d be able to get him on more than not having a visa,” Cian said.

“I know, but we at least have that much going for us. They’ll make sure that Sid goes back to Ireland and stays there. You and Lil will be safe because we both know that fucker won’t keep his word. Once Homeland Security gets involved, he’ll have no choice but to keep his promises to us.”

“Smart,” Cian said. “What you said about Lil—her being the Prez of the Royal Harlots, is that true?” he asked.

“Yep, as long as she agreed to be. Dallas was going to spring it on her after they got her out, and knowing my woman, she can be pretty persuasive. I’m betting that she even made Lil agree to take the job as a condition to secure her freedom.”

“That’s pretty ruthless,” Cian said.

“That’s my girl,” Savage proudly boasted. “Let’s get back to Savage Hell—I need a beer.”

“Same, man,” Cian said. He could use a few beers but first, he needed to hold his woman and ask her to marry him. He was done waiting for the right time to start his life with her. One thing he had learned over the past year, there would never be a right time, he just had to make it the right time to ask Lil to spend the rest of their tomorrows together.

They got back to the bar and as soon as they walked through the front doors, Lil cried out his name, ran across the bar, and jumped into Cian’s arms. God, it felt good to be holding her again. It had only been three days, but not having Lil with him made it feel as if they had spent years apart.

“You okay, honey?” Cian whispered into the crook of her neck. She snuggled into his body, wrapping her arms around his neck just a little tighter.

“I am now,” she stuttered. “It was awful,” she whispered. “He kept me in a cage.”

Cian suddenly wished that they had killed the fecker for what he had done to Lil, but at least he had the peace of mind knowing that he’d never be able to get to them again.

“It’s over now, baby,” he promised. “Sid won’t be able to touch either of us again. We’re free.”

“Really?” she asked.

“Yes, I promise.” He turned back to Savage who was holding Dallas between his and Bowie’s big bodies. “Can we use your office?” he asked.

“I can do you one better. We have apartments above the bar and you, and Lil can use one for as long as you need until you can get back on your feet,” he said. Savage handed him a key and he nodded his thanks.

“Thank you, Savage,” Lil said. “I’ll need to talk to you about the Harlots meeting here until we can get our own clubhouse,” she insisted.

Savage laughed, “Being held captive has made you no less bossy, Lil,” he teased. “And my bar is your bar,” he offered. “Go get some rest.”

“Thanks,” she said. She nodded to Cian, and he carried her up the back stairwell to the apartment that they’d be calling home until he could find them something better. He would too. He wanted to give Lil the world, but that would depend on one thing—her saying yes.

He unlocked the door and carried her into the small apartment. It had all the comforts of home—a small kitchen and furnished living room area, and a bedroom. He carried her back to the bed and gently sat down with her, keeping Lil close.

“I need a shower,” she said. “I’d like to wash the past few days off of me.”

“We’ll get to that. For now, I’d like to ask you something,” Cian said.

“All right,” she said. Lil stayed snuggled into his body. “Ask away.”

“Will you marry me?” he questioned. She looked up at him and smiled, taking his breath away.
