I look up to see Greig. "Ready for our meeting, Ms. Cali-" he starts, but I shoot him a warning look. He chuckles, "Justkidding, Quinn. Can't start a Monday without a little joke, right?"

I roll my eyes playfully. "Better sit down, Greig, or I might just cancel," I tease.

He laughs and takes a seat opposite me. "You wouldn't dare," he shoots back.

"So, how should these documents normally be handled?" he asks, pulling out some paperwork.

I agreed to help him so he could take over when I leave, sparing me the task of training a new person.

Truth is, I'm thinking of leaving earlier than planned once I accomplish what is needed of me. Being around Weston is like my weakness. It's hard to be near him every day. I practically can feel the ghost of his fingers on me, making my panties melt. And the way he looks at me sometimes, it's like he wants to bend me over his desk and spank me for not giving him more. And with his little stunt with the handcuffs, I wouldn't put anything past him.

Training Greig seems like the best way to ensure everything's in good hands when I go.

A few minutes into our meeting, I see Weston walk into my office.

He pauses, taking in my new look. "I like your hair," he says with a grin.

I give him a quick smile, trying not to show how much that makes me blush. It's the second time he's complimented me today, and he never fails to make my heart skip a beat.

Then, I see him glance from me to Greig.

"I need a word with you, Quinn," he tells me.

I think hard, wondering if I missed something important, but I'm pretty sure I've been on top of everything. "Did I miss something in our meeting this morning?" I ask.

His eyes narrow a bit, and that's when I realize what he wants to discuss – us.

"It's about something we didn't cover earlier," he mentions.

I catch Greig's subtle eyebrow raise.

"I've just started this meeting. Would you mind giving us a few?" I ask.

Weston offers a forced smile. "No," he says plainly. "Greig, can you step out for a minute so I can talk to Ms. Russo?"

Greig leaves, and I take a deep breath, knowing exactly what's about to come.

Weston shuts the door and locks it before approaching me. There's a brief silence before he speaks. "You can barely handle a ten-minute morning meeting with me without rushing through it, but you can meet with Greig?"

I shrug. "He wants his job back when I leave. I thought I'd show him a few things so he can perform better."

He scoffs. "Does he now? And you think by meeting with him you're helping him get his position back? I'd say the closer he gets to you, the further he is from making that a reality."

I furrow my brows. "You're acting..."

He finishes my sentence, "Jealous?"

I shake my head. "I was going to say ridiculous, but maybe 'jealous' fits better."

He loosens his tie. "Maybe that's just the effect you have on me."

I look away, unsure of how to respond. He circles my desk and swivels my chair to face him. Then he leans down, planting each hand on an armrest, trapping me.

I clench my thighs together as his woodsy cologne envelops me.

"What are you hiding? What secrets are you keeping locked away in that pretty head that makes you so complicated?"

I hesitate, not wanting to go there.
