I nod, a bit shaken. "Yeah, I just didn't realize I still had so many of his things."

He nods. "Maybe we could donate them? Help someone else in need?" he suggests.

I smile. "Perfect idea. Let's set aside a box just for these." I carefully check each pocket before placing the clothes into the box. It doesn't take me long to nearly finish before my hand brushes against a jacket he often wore. I check the pockets and find a cell phone I don't recognize.A secret phone? The screen is locked, so I try a couple of guesses without success. Then, remembering how much he adored his mom, I type in her birthday. It works—I'm in.

I take a deep breath and head straight to the text messages, curious to see what's hidden there.

As I scroll through the messages my heart begins to race. Leo's texts are full of sweet talk, promises to meet up, and sexy images with various women.

A lump forms in my throat, and I realize I wasn't imagining things. I scroll down to the text conversation from the night of our big fight. It unveils the truth that he had returned home after having drunken sex with a woman named Stephanie. His final words to her were, 'Same time next week?' She replied with a kissing face emoji.

Despite knowing I shouldn't, I can't resist the urge, and I open the pictures folder. As soon as a video begins to play, my legs give out beneath me. It's a gut-wrenching sight—Leo having sex with someone else, and the bastard had the audacity to record it.

As soon as Weston notices the phone, he swiftly takes it from my trembling hand and powers it off. His arms wrap around me, offering comfort. "Babe, I'm so sorry you had to see that," he says.

Tears stream down my face, and I can't hold them back. The betrayal still stings, even though I've moved on. "I was going to marry that jerk," I mutter.

Weston kisses my forehead and then gently guides my wrist, where the phoenix tattoo is inked. "The phoenix. Look at your tattoo; it'll give you strength."

I nod. "You're right."

His arms remain wrapped around me, holding me tight. "Hey, how about I hire someone to pack the rest of your stuff? You're pregnant, and you don't need the extra stress."

I look up at him. "Thank you," I say, wiping away the last of my tears.

He presses a soft kiss to my lips. "I'll make sure everything is taken care of."

Weston and I approach the impressive gates of my parents' luxurious mansion, nestled among manicured gardens. I was full of ideas for the gender reveal party and itching to contribute, but my mother was adamant about planning every detail herself. She said she and Scott wanted to create a surprise that would take my breath away. Despite my initial disappointment, I saw the bright side — it gave Weston and me the perfect excuse to enjoy some uninterrupted time together in the serenity of our suite.

As he switches off the engine, he rushes to my side to open the door — a gentlemanly act that never fails to make me smile.

"Ready to face the music?" he whispers, extending his hand to help me out.

"As long as the after-party's with you," I say playfully, thinking about how we spent the last few hours back at our suite.

He shoots me a knowing look. "And what an after-party it'll be," he murmurs with a grin, making me laugh.

Side by side, Weston and I make our way to the grand mahogany double doors. As we knock, I feel the warmth of his hand in mine. Moments later, my mom appears, her face lighting up at the sight of us. "My darling!" she exclaims. She gives me a hug for what feels like days before she lets go. Next, I turn to embrace my stepdad, Scott. "Hey, kiddo," he greets me, sticking to the nickname he's used since I was younger. Then, my mom chimes in, her eyes twinkling. "So, is this the handsome guy who swept my daughter off her feet?" she asks. I feel my cheeks warm up. "Yeah, this is Weston," I reply. Weston flashes a warm smile and reaches out to give both my mom and Scott a friendly hug.

"Come in," my mom says with a smile.

As we step inside, it's like walking into a wonderland. The whole place is decked out in light blues, soft pinks, and creamy whites, keeping it a total mystery if it's a boy or girl. Big paper lanterns are hanging from the ceiling, gently swaying as if they're floating on air.

The tables are set up all around, covered in clean, white cloths with little baskets of flowers and candles in the middle. They give off a soft, warm glow that makes the whole room feel cozy and inviting.

Strings of little white lights are draped all around, twinkling like tiny stars. It makes the big mansion feel more intimate like we're all tucked away in our little world for this special moment.

In one corner, there's a table set up with all sorts of yummy-looking snacks and a big, frosted cake in the middle. It's decorated with cute baby decorations, but still, no hint if it's for a boy or girl.

I can't help but be amazed by how beautiful everything looks. It's simple but so perfect, and for a moment, I just stand there, totally caught up in the excitement and beauty of it all.

"Thank you so much! This is beautiful," I say, wrapping my arms around my mom and Scott in another grateful hug. "Yes, thank you," Weston chimes in, his smile reflecting his appreciation.

Then, my mom heads over to the door where everyone's been waiting. She swings it open and starts letting them in. I see about fifty people coming through — there are my aunts, uncles, cousins, and a bunch of my old friends from school. Everyone's eyes go wide as they walk in, looking around at the amazing setup, and you can tell they're just as impressed as I was.

"What's up, bro?" A man who looks like he could be Weston's twin approaches with a woman by his side.

Weston's eyes instantly light up. "Glad you made it, Caleb," he says.
