Thinking back, I smile as remember the first time I saw her at Roy’s bar and grill years ago. She lit up the room and would happily chat with everyone. She was gorgeous beyond belief but at that time, was still in high school. The last time that I saw her was at a party her dad threw for her, the twins, Travis, and Ethan, before they went off to college. Like Dragon, I’d kept my distance on purpose. She was eighteen and way too young for us at that time.

I sigh and tighten my grip around her. My hope is that as she gets to know us better, she’ll want to stay rather than leave. Even after we solve the issue with Fang and Black Plague. At least she isn’t completely new to the MC world, so that should help. The bunnies will cause problems, I’m sure of it. Granted, she’d be able to handle anything they dish out, but we both have been with most of the bunnies. Some at the same time. If the bunnies cause too many problems, though, it may drive her away.

Then there was the age gap. During our conversation tonight, we found out that she’s 22, almost 23. We’re 38. It didn’t seem like it was an issue for her, but she could have just not said anything. With another sigh, I close my eyes, but I’m surprised when she tightens her grip around my waist and kisses my chest.

“Rest, hun. Your brain is on overload and it’s keeping us up. We’re good. If you still have worries, we can talk in the morning.”

“What she said,” Nick grumbles as he kisses Levi’s neck. She shivers, and I chuckle at his smirk.

“Sleepy time is now, otherwise I’ll get my knives and send you both back to your own beds,” she hisses, but her smiling lips give her away. With a chuckle, I kiss her forehead again and try to go to sleep.

Someone stirs next to me, and I blink away the sleep. It takes me a moment to remember where I am, but then I smile as I look over at my Wildcat. She’s starting to wake up and the little noises she makes when stretching are so damn cute. Nick laughs next to me, and she glares at him.

“What?”

“You’re just too beautiful, Spitfire. That’s all.”

Her face softens, and I lean over and give her a soft peck on the lips. Her stomach growls, and we all laugh.

“We best get ready Ry, so we can get our woman some breakfast. Seems she somehow worked up an appetite.”

He winks at her and her cheeks flush.

“Speaking of, how are you feeling, Wildcat?”

The pink on her cheeks gets a little deeper and I can’t help the smile that plays on my face that we can still make her blush.

“A little sore, but other than that, perfectly fine.”

Her stomach growls again, and she busts out laughing. “Okay, okay, I’ll get ready, miss bossy stomach!”

Laughing, I get up and stretch. Nick’s chuckle has me turning around, and I smirk when I see Wildcat staring at me, biting her lip.

“Later, Wildcat. We need to get you fed.” When her eyes darken, I correct my statement even though I don’t want to. “Real food, Wildcat. And the train of thought you just had will be coming true later. That’s a promise.” I wink and playfully swat her ass as I walk toward my room. A gasp has me turning around and I see Levi looking in a mirror.

Shit. We left a lot of marks on her last night. Nick comes up behind her and kisses one of the hickeys on her neck.

“Gotta show all our brothers that you’re taken, Spitfire.”

She huffs and rolls her eyes as she walks to the bathroom, muttering about ‘possessive alphaholes’, but her voice is missing the edge I’d expect if she were really mad. Not to mention, I saw the small smile she was trying to hide. She’s not as upset as she’s trying to lead us to believe. With a chuckle, I continue to my room and hop into the shower.

I quickly get ready and head downstairs to make some coffee. I need to talk to Nick. We have Church today, which means we have to tell our brothers more about the threats against Levi and the twins. I don’t want to give away everything Levi had told us unless we had to, and I want to make sure he was on the same page before we talked to her.

Just as the coffee finishes, I hear his heavy footsteps coming down the stairs and pour a second mug. He rounds the corner and grins when he sees me walking toward the table with a mug for him. As he slides into his usual chair, I set the mug down in front of him and sigh as I sink into a chair next to him.

“You’re thinking too much about this, Ry.”

I cock an eyebrow at him and frown, shaking my head. “I’m just worried that once she sees more about our life that she’ll leave. Especially if the bunnies continually stir up trouble. It’s not like we’ve been saints. We’ve both been with most, if not all, of them. Not to mention we’re fifteen years older than her.”

He frowns as he stares at his coffee. “We know the bunnies will cause problems. The best we can do is to not let them cling to us. We’ll spread the word that we’re off-limits. But we need to decide how many strikes to allow before they’re gone because we both know it won’t be a one-time incident.”

“I was thinking three strikes and they’re gone. I have no delusions that with the first strike, they’ll try the‘no one told me’spiel. Especially because it’s not one of us off limits, it’s both of us.”

He nods and bites his lip. “We should make an announcement. Do it tonight toward the beginning of the party once most everyone’s there. I mean, we can tell the bunnies that are here already on cooking and cleaning duty. We can tell our brothers at church. They’ll probably figure it out at breakfast, but yeah, I’m sure they’ll have questions.”

I nod in agreement and sigh before taking another sip of my coffee. “Do you really think she’s okay with our age gap?”

He laughs and shakes his head at me. “If she said she doesn’t have a problem with it, I believe her. From the little I’ve been around her, if she has a problem with something, she would have told us. Relax, Ry.” He pauses and his face hardens as his grip around his mug tightens. “Speaking of Church, we need to talk to Levi and see how much she wants us or Bear to share. I don’t want to overshare if she doesn’t want us to.”
