“All right, let’s finish up with our breakfast and the rest of our day. There’ll be a party tonight and we’ll cater in since it’s last minute. Not to mention it seems we’ll have to get more groceries to replace what was lost.”

I gasp and look up at him. “Are you sure, hun? I don’t mind cooking, even if it’s on short notice.”

He smiles down at me and places a quick kiss on my lips.

“I’m sure, baby girl. Figure out what needs to be replaced and make up a list. The prospects can go and get what is needed once you have it all ready.” He pauses as he looks over my shoulder. “Besides, I think there are six ladies that look like they want to talk to you. First, how about everyone finishes their breakfast? Then we have the chat with Trixie before you talk to all the girls. I’m not sure how long that will take.”

I nod in agreement and when I turn back around, I’m surprised to see Smoke and Ryder gripping Drae’s shoulders. Ryder leans down and whispers something into Drae’s ear. His body visibly tenses and a look of panic crosses his face. Smoke gestures to his phone. His gaze locked on Thor. He must have sent a text about something while our attention was focused on the girls.

Thor pulls out his phone, and his body instantly goes rigid against me. Dragon looks over his shoulder at the text and his body also goes rigid. I almost step out of their arms at the terrifying looks on their faces.

“Thor… Dragon… What’s going on? What’s wrong?”

They both look at each other, some sort of silent communication happening. Dragon nods before kissing my forehead and heads down the hall, following Smoke, Ryder, and Drae. I start to say something, but Thor silences me with a kiss. He rests his forehead against mine as his hands grip my waist.

“We have to take care of something with Drae, baby girl, and I’d rather tell you about it when I have all the information. For now, I need you to trust me. Finish your breakfast, if you’re still hungry, but don’t leave the clubhouse for now. We’ll talk to Trixie after we take care of this mess.”

I look up at him and nod as I bite my lip. Looking around, there aren’t many people nearby, but I didn’t want to say anything too loud. Taking his hand, I pull him over to the corner for a bit more privacy. Thankfully, he follows without resistance.

“I know you won’t be able to tell me everything, but if he’s tied to how Fang knows about Roxy and things going on here, I want to know why. Even if it is a summarized version. Why is he betraying the club? Why is he selling me out to Fang? If there is a problem and he’s being blackmailed, why didn’t he come forward? We could have helped him. Find out the blackmailed part first before they start beating him to a bloody pulp.” I pause as thoughts and situations race through my mind, my anger rising at what he could also be doing. “However, if he did this intentionally and is double-crossing our club, our family, our home? Beat away and make sure to get in a good punch for me.”

I look down at Levi’s face as it flips between concerned, worried, to pissed off. I know I won’t be able to tell her everything, but am also relieved that she asked for a summarized version. A grin slides across my face as the rest of her words sink in.

“I love that you said we’re all your family, Wildcat.”

Her face lights up in a stunning smile, and I crash my lips to hers. Reluctantly pulling away, I place a kiss on her forehead.

“I gotta get downstairs, baby girl. We’ll be back later. Stay in the clubhouse.”

She nods, walks to our table, grabs our empty plates, and then walks over by Roxy and Sasha before heading back into the kitchen. She pauses at the entryway and looks back over her shoulder.

“Trixie, Ashley, and Ginger, please come into the kitchen after you’re done eating and we’ll show you what needs to be done.” The three women nod and tuck back to the rest of their food.

Colt and Alexei are sitting together, so I head in their direction.

“Stay in the clubhouse with the women. One of you keep an eye on the cameras. No one should be coming to the gate, but you never know. If they do, go out together, but see if Travis and Ethan will sit in here with the women.”

“You got it, Pres. I take it Levi mentioned Drae to you?”

I nod and Colt frowns as he looks over his shoulder toward the hallway that Drae down a few moments ago.

“I noticed a change in his behavior a few days ago. At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but this morning was when it really hit home. I should have told you sooner and I’m sorry, Pres. It won’t happen again.”

“I noticed it about a week ago and, like Colt, I thought it was just my imagination. I’ll speak up right away next time. Sorry, Pres.”

I give them both a chin lift, but I still need to make sure they understand things could have been much worse.

“Go with your gut if something feels wrong. Next time, if something seems off, bring it up right away. We’re lucky that nothing serious happened this time, but next time that might not be the case.”

Turning, I give a chin lift to the rest of my brothers and nod toward the hallway. They all get up and follow after me. Thankfully, I notice that Ethan and Travis are sticking around the main room. I don’t know if they heard me, but at least they’re already thinking like prospects. Heading down the hall and then down into the basement after scanning my hand, before I weave through the hallways until I come to our interrogation room.

Scanning my handprint, I enter the room and am glad Drae’s already tied to a chair. A large sheet of plastic is on the floor under him. Seeing us all pile into the room, his face pales as fear creeps in. He’s already sporting a shiner, and his lip is swollen and busted. Looking at Dragon, who’s standing nearby, I cock my eyebrow.

“He tripped down the stairs. Needs to learn to keep his shoelaces tied.”

A few of the men chuckle, and I shake my head. Moving to stand in front of Drae, he swallows as he looks up at me.

“Care to explain this?” I ask as I show him the screenshots Smoke sent me of his messages.
