Nodding, I numbly follow him up the stairs. He puts our phones in the basket and grabs a beer from Colt before leading me into Church.

He takes a seat next to Dad, pulling me down onto his lap.

Reaper bangs his hammer on the table. “Alright, shut the fuck up, assholes. We need to talk about what just happened.” He pauses as his gaze lands on mine. “Fill us in, Lil’ Bit.”

I clench my hands under the table, hoping to keep them from shaking too much as I tell them what I remember about what Michael and X said about the Oasis over the years.

When I’m done, curses ring out through the room.

The weight of Reaper’s gaze on me, along with several others in the club, has me wilting under it.

“I’m sorry. I’m not sure how I repressed those memories. I would have told you sooner if I had remembered it.”

Timber’s arms tighten around me. “It’s not your fault. Honestly, with everything you’ve been through, I’m not surprised that you repressed memories to protect yourself. None of the blame is on you, Sunshine,” he says, his voice full of anger.

Risking a look up at him, I’m surprised to find him directing his anger at Reaper. After a few seconds, Reaper sighs, his face and eyes losing some of his anger.

“I’m not angry at you, Lil’ Bit. It’s actually the opposite. I’m pissed that we came so close to you being sold off into that sort of life. Also, I wish we had known about the exchange at midnight. We might have been able to nab X and whoever was with him.” He pauses and looks at Python and then Dad. “I’ll fill Thor in on this, but Python and Smoke, start looking into Oasis and see if you can find anything else out about it. We’re not going in blind on this. We also need to figure out who’s at the top of this. Is it X? Or does he report to someone else?”

“You got it, Pres,” Python replies.

“Got it,” Dad says.

“Now, let’s discuss what all we’ve learned so far.”

After a couple of hours, Reaper dismisses us. I’d been able to contribute more information as they talked. More and more memories started to surface and I hated that I’d suppressed them unintentionally. If only I had remembered them all in the beginning, maybe we could have already had a head start on this cult.

Dad had found some information about the Oasis Masters, as Andrew called them, and it wasn’t pretty. Those men’s tastes run dark.

Really dark.

He’d even found the listings for a few members about what type of women they wanted and what they wanted to do to them.

There were a few times where it felt like I shouldn’t be there, but no one said anything about it. I know I’ll never repeat anything they said outside of Church, and I think they know that I won’t either.

Shaking my head, I can’t help but smile when I see Mama Astrid and Sasha in the kitchen through the pass through.

Turning, I’m about to tell Timber I was going to go help them with supper when I feel him tense against me.

Looking up at him, he’s glaring at someone behind me. I turn around and can’t help my scowl when I see Candi and Star strutting into the room with an air of superiority. They both smirk when they see me, and I wish I could wipe that look off their faces. However, a thrill goes through me at seeing both of them fully clothed, though they still have on their stripper heels.

They wander off to the side of the room and I sigh, trying to let go of my anger. “Timber, I’m gonna go help with supper.” Leaning up on my toes, I intend to give him a quick kiss, but he deepens it as he pulls me tight against him.

A whimper escapes and I ignore the tinge of pain I feel at him pressed up hard against a few of my deepest wounds.

When he pulls back, both of us are breathing heavily and I’m sure my cheeks are bright red. He lightly smacks my ass and his arms loosen around me.

“Behave,” I whisper as I playfully swat at his chest.

That earns me a growl as he pulls me closer to him again. Leaning down, he nips my ear and then the crook of my neck where he’d left a hickey earlier. “Never,” he growls again and I shiver as his voice rolls over me and feeling the vibrations in his chest.

He kisses me again before letting me go, and I walk, almost in a daze, into the kitchen.

The look Sasha gives me has me turning beat red as she fans herself. “Girl, you are getting it tonight,” she sasses as she does the little licking her finger and sizzle thing which has all of us laughing.

Nibbling my lip, I roll my eyes at her, waving her off. I’m still uncomfortable talking to them about sex, but I have a feeling I’ll get used to it before long.

“Alright, ladies, let’s get to cooking,” Mama Astrid says with a wink.
