“She’s fully dilated, Dr. Rowen, and the contractions are between two and three minutes apart.”

“Alright Levi. On the next contraction, I want you to bear down and push. Let’s meet your beautiful babies.”

Levi weakly waves and nods at him. She’s been in labor for five hours already and looks exhausted.

Seconds later, Levi curses and crushes my hand.

“Fuck,” I groan, and her steely gaze meets mine.

“Oh, I’m sorry for hurting you, hun. How about you try to squeeze out two little watermelons and see how much pain you’d be in,” she grits out before crying out in pain.

When she slumps back against the pillow, I get her more ice chips as I try to discreetly shake out my hand. I notice Nick trying to do the same. As I put the cup to her mouth with more ice chips, a tear escapes and I brush it away.

“That was an excellent push, Levi. I can see the head so on this next one, it’s going to hurt a bit more, but we’re very close to meeting your first baby.”

Refilling the cup, I give her some more ice chips and I know what she’s going to say before her mouth even opens.

“I’m sorry, Ryan,” she whispers, and I give her plump lips a quick kiss.

“Nothing to apologize for, Wildcat. You’re right, this isn’t something our bodies are equipped to do. You’ve grown our babies and are bringing them into the world. Something I’m very excited about.”

She gives me a weak smile before her face screws up in pain and she shouts.

“That’s it, Levi. Give me a big push.”

A few moments later, I can see a smile on his face, but I don’t budge. I made the mistake of looking earlier and I’m not going to do it again.

“The head is out. On your next push, you’re going to meet baby A.”

That’s the jolt Wildcat needed, and a few moments later, the cry of a baby rings out.

“I need one of the dads to come over and cut the cord.”

Nick eagerly steps forward and cuts the umbilical cord before a nurse whisks her away. Thank God Nikki warned us everything they’d do once the babies were born, otherwise I’d probably be chewing her out right now. Both Nick and Nikki follow the nurse and help her clean up our baby. Sasha steps forward and takes Nick’s place. I capture Wildcat’s lips and when I pull back, both of us have huge smiles.

“You got this, Levi. In a few more minutes, you’ll be meeting your other baby. Stay strong, girl,” Sasha says as she grips Wildcat’s hand.

Almost immediately, Levi cries out in pain again.

A few minutes later, another baby’s cry rings out and I’m cutting the second umbilical cord before following the nurse to clean up the baby right as Nick steps toward Wildcat with our firstborn.

As I stare down at my babies, I choke back a sob as it fully sinks in that I’m a dad. When the nurse places one my other baby girl in my arms, I quickly walk back over to Wildcat and laid our second daughter down on her chest.

“As much as I want you both in here, you both better go tell our motley bunch our good news. Nikki and Sasha will help me if I need it,” Wildcat says with a wink.

Nick clasps my shoulder and grins at me. “Let’s go give them the good news.”

“Be back in a bit, Wildcat.”

Fuck, I bet my grin is just as big as his is. We kiss both our babies and then Wildcat before making our way to the waiting room.

If I weren’t so excited, I would have laughed at seeing the looks both our club and Reaper’s club are drawing from the other families packed into the waiting room. Mae’s the first to see us and her excited squeal draws everyone else’s attention to us. She struggles to get up as she’s four months pregnant herself with triplets.

“Are they here? What are their names? Everyone’s healthy?”

Timber laughs as he pulls a darn near vibrating Mae into his arms. “Give him time to answer, Sunshine.”

I look at Nick and we both grin.

“They’re here, our twin girls. Adrianna Emily and Olivia Marie!”

Cheers erupt and Roy quickly brings us both in for a hug, his eyes brimming with tears.

“Thank you,” he whispers as he pulls away and wipes his eyes.

I give him a chin lift. We knew right away that we wanted our daughters to have our mother’s names as their middle names—Emily for Levi and our mom, Marie.
