“If you take a look out there, that’s your family, Sunshine. Your blood family, chosen family, and club family. None of us pity you. You aren’t a charity case. You said you needed a new wardrobe, and baby, you’re getting it. They all want to help because you arefamily.

“You’ve had years of practically being on your own and providing for yourself, but that stops now. You’ve got me now and you’ve got all of them. Let us help you. You don’t have to do everything by yourself. Not everything is solely on your shoulders anymore. Everyone wanted to pitch in and help to make up for years of not being able to care for you. Please, let us in. Let us help.”

Tears well in my eyes and his calloused thumbs dry them as they fall. My gaze goes over his shoulders and despite the war going on inside me, a giggle escapes when I see Sasha holding Sadie, and both of them are making puppy dog eyes at me. Sadie’s even holding up her hands together to amp up the pleading look. Timber looks over his shoulder and chuckles at them.

Sighing, I nod. I have a feeling I’m not going to win this argument, but when we’re alone, I’m going to talk to him about this.

“No going much more overboard though, okay? I still need to get some hoodies, a fall jacket, some underclothes, socks, and shoes. Plus, some toiletry things. Oh, and a phone.”

“While you were shopping, I went and got you a phone, Sunshine.” He pauses as he pulls it out and hands it to me. “Everything was transferred and I made sure you have everyone’s number in there. Once you have everything you need, there’s going to be one more stop. I want you on the back of my bike, but first you need the right gear. That means helmet, jacket, and boots.”

Shyly, I nod as I bite my lip. I’ve never been on a motorcycle before, but it looks fun. “Okay.” Going up on my toes, I give him a quick kiss.

He grabs my hand and leads me out of the store. I look around for the clothes that I’d had in my hands before. Not finding them, I turn to the ladies in question and Nikki holds up a couple of bags.

“Wanted to treat my niece since I have years of birthdays and Christmas presents to make up for.”

“We also snagged some jewelry that you were looking at before,” Susie says with a wink.

“You guys are going to spoil me rotten, aren’t you?” I sigh heavily as I run a hand through my hair.

While it’s going to take a bit to get used to the fact that I now have a support group, a small part of me is drinking up the fact that Idohave a support group as it does a little happy dance in my mind.

And they are also giving me presents in the form of what I need.

I haven’t received a present in years.

Surprisingly, it’s Sadie that answers my earlier question.

“You know it, MaeMae.” She gives me a hug and tugs on my hand. Bending down, she whispers in my ear. “I also picked out a few pieces of jewelry for you. I hope you like them.”

She holds up a little bag, and I take it, peaking inside. There’s a cute gold necklace with a sun charm hanging in the center, along with some gold hoops and a ring with blue gemstones in them.

“They’re gorgeous. I love them, thank you.”

And I really do. I’d been looking at all of them earlier but had decided to wait. Pulling out the jewelry, I take the tags off, and put them on. I’m surprised the ring fits. She must have seen me trying them on. When I have everything on, she claps her hands in excitement.

Tucking the now empty bag into another bag, I look to Sasha, deciding to just go with the flow for right now. “Where to next?”

She loops her arm through mine, smiling mischievously, and takes me into the shop next door.

Victoria’s Secret.

Oh my.

My cheeks heat at all of the scanty material. I wonder if I’ll be able to find something that covers all of my rear. I’m not exactly wanting to try on a thong. Who would want a piece of floss between their butt cheeks? Though a good bra does sound nice. Maybe even a couple of them. I’ve heard that this store has good quality stuff. I just hope what I heard was right.

“Hello, ladies. Do you need any help with anything?” A sales lady says as she walks up to us. Though I notice, she keeps sending seductive looks to the guys.

“Yes, we need a bra fitting.”

I cut a glance over at Levi and note she’s all business. Gone is the playful smile from a moment ago, and I’m going to take a stab that it’s because this woman is trying to flirt with the guys.

“Of course. For all of you, or just a few of you?”

I step forward. “I need it, please.”

Knowing Sasha and Levi would probably prefer to stay out here to keep that woman from flirting with their men, I grab Susie’s hand and make her come back with me. I doubt this woman would do anything to me, but I really don’t want to be alone, either.
