He arched a brow. "What stars?"

"Like the television showDancing with the Stars, when they take average Joes and Janes, pair them with great dancers, and they compete on television. There could be a Perfect Match adventure like that." She lifted a hand to her forehead. "Oh, wow. That could be amazing. I have to tell Toven about it." She leaned toward the kid and kissed his cheek. "Thank you for giving me the idea."

Looking flustered, he lifted a hand to the cheek she'd kissed. "You're welcome."

Frankie pulled out her phone and started typing a note with her ideas for the adventure. When she was done, she sent it to Mia, asking that she show it to Toven and ask his opinion.

The return text came back a few minutes later. He thinks it's an awesome idea and asks that you develop the story further.

"Yes!" Frankie pumped her fist in the air.

"I assume Toven liked it," Parker said.

"He did, and he wants me to develop it. It can be about two contestants falling in love despite competing for the grand prize. Like an enemies-to-lovers kind of story. They both need the prize money for something important, but then they fall in love, and each one tries to let the other win."

"I love it," Lisa said. "People can have a sexy adventure and learn ballroom dancing at the same time."

Dagor

Dagor started typing a message to Frankie as he walked out of the dining hall.We are done. Are you still on the Lido deck?

Frankie:I'm still here.

Dagor:I'm on my way.

He needed a drink, and then he was taking Frankie to the cabin and making love to her until they arrived back at Acapulco.

Fates knew what they were going to find there, and he needed to load up on love and closeness.

The truth was he wasn't sure yet that his team would be asked to join. Kian was meeting with his war council in his cabin to formulate a plan, and he would let Aru know whether their team's assistance was needed or not.

Dagor was itching for a fight, but he also didn't want to leave Frankie alone. His first duty was to protect his mate, and although eliminating the enemy counted toward that goal, staying with her was the best way to keep her safe.

He found Frankie sitting at the bar with a fruity drink in hand.

"Hi." He leaned over her and wrapped her in his arms. "I missed you."

She chuckled. "You were gone for less than an hour." For some reason, her compact body felt tense against his chest.

He leaned back to look at her. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." She sighed. "I had a great idea for a Perfect Match adventure, and Toven loved it. He asked me to develop it further, but I got stuck. I don't know what else to add."

"I wish I could help you, but I'm not very creative. Mia is a writer, right? Maybe she can assist you?"

"Mia is an illustrator of children's books, but she still knows more about creating stories than I do. I'll ask her."

Despite his sage advice, Frankie's shoulders still seemed just as tense as before. "What else is bothering you?"

She let out a breath. "Lisa said that I might be transitioning, but I don't have a fever, and I feel great. Everyone says that a fever is the first sign that the transition is starting. It's so annoying not to know what's going on with my body."

"Who is Lisa?"

"She's a Dormant who supposedly can tell who is a Dormant and who is not. I met her a while ago when she visited Mia, and later, she told Mia that Margo and I were both Dormants. She was just here and said that I might be transitioning, and I freaked out."

"Why? Isn't that what you want?"

"Yeah, but I want to know when it's happening, and I don't like that it's not happening the same way as it does for everyone else."
