“You will have to go there and try to talk with her.”

Ella sighed and gulped her drink. “I am sure I am one of the last people she wants to see. I wasn’t very kind to her because I was so mad at her. I felt like she betrayed my trust on purpose.”

I sat up and looked at Ella. “Quite the opposite. She believes that she has betrayed your friendship and is too afraid to see your face again because of how you left her room that day.”

Ella sighed and laid her head on my chest again. “What do you guys want me to do?”

“Would you like some more champagne?” Mom asked, pointing at her glass, and Ella raised her head and nodded.

Mom took it, refilled it, and returned it to her. “Here you go.”

“Thanks, Mom,” Ella replied and began to sip her drink again. “So, what’s the plan?”

Mom sipped her drink and stopped. “I think we both need to go to her place.”

“What? With you?”

Mom nodded, “Yeah, I must do everything I can to ensure we bring her back. She’s carrying my first grandbaby.”

“Yeah, I guess so,” Ella muttered, taking a sip of the drink.

“You think I am just going to sit here and wait? In your dreams.” Mom took another sip. “I should be in the air now, visiting more beautiful places, and I am telling you, if we allow only Mason to do this, I bet I will be stuck in this place forever.”

“Do you mean I haven’t tried my best yet?” I groaned. “Did you forget what happened when I was there?”

Mom looked at me and shrugged. “But you didn’t get Lucy to come back.”

I sighed and laid back on the couch while Ella looked at me with pity. “I will try my best, that’s all I can offer. We are going to help you, but you are going to pay for our services, heavily.”

“Yep, he’s surely going to pay.” Mom nodded as she picked up the champagne to pour more into her glass.

I groaned again. “You will get drunk, Mom. That’s enough already.”

“Don’t worry. This would be the last, and don’t change the subject. How much will you pay us? My time and services don’t come cheap for me, but because we are talking about my grandchild, I might be a little lenient with my charges.”

“You two are unbelievable,” I muttered as I took another sip of my drink and shook my head.

“Tell him our price, sweetheart.” Mom said, winking at Ella.

“We want a spa day for just us girls! For the three of us, including Lucy. If we are successful in getting her to come back with us

“A spa day? Okay, I think that can be arranged.”

Ella smiled as she pulled away from me and gulped down her last drink. “We expect it to be ready when we are back.”

“That’s quite the demand when we aren’t even sure if she will come back.”

Ella hooked her arm on Mom’s and grinned. “When do you want us to leave?”

“Right away, but don’t you want to know where you are going.”

“It’s in Tennessee. It’s not that far,” Ella replied. “And I happen to know the location by heart.”

“Oh, you do now?”

“Yes, I do. I went home with her once, and I don’t forget places that easily.”

“Good, well then, we will take the bird with us. I have a few good friends in Tennessee who can get me their driver to give us a lift from the airport to Lucy’s home,” Mom replied.
