What in the hell?“I’m notwithNick. Where did you get that idea?”Oh wait…the stupid kiss this morning.

“This morning, yes…Nick and I talked about that. He thought it meant something too. I promise, it was a total self-defense move. I panicked when Chase called me a bitch and no one did anything. It was a powerplay on my part.”
“How so?” He shows me arealsmile this time.
“Like I said, I panicked. I wanted everyone to know I had backup and that we didn’t care what Chase had to say. If I can be totally honest, Nick was just the closest person to me at the time who also happened to be a friend. If I’d had an option right then, I would’ve chosen you.”
“Yeah?” His smile gets even bigger now.
“Yeah…”Whew…I really hope I don’t embarrass the fuck out of myself right now.“In fact, there’s something I’ve been wanting to ask you.”
“Sure,” he comes across the room and holds my arms. “You can ask me anything, Lara.”
“I…uh…need your help with something.”
He stares deep into my eyes and it feels like this is the moment I’ve been waiting for. He’s so handsome. So kind, and caring. He always looks out for me. I know he’ll say yes. “I’d do anything for you, Lara. You know that.”
I put my arms around his neck and pull him down to me so I can whisper in his ear. I don’t know why…but that’s what I do…like I’m telling him a secret, “I’m a virgin. I came to visit because I wantyouto be my first.”
He pulls back a little and there’s serious look on his face. He whispers back, “Me? Why me?”
I put my hands on his face, “Because I trust you and I care about you. I know you care about me too and that you’d never do anything to hurt me. I want it to be with you so that it willalwaysbe a good memory.”
I pull him to me and kiss him. He’s hesitant at first, but then he kisses me back. He’s firm and soft all once. When our tongues meet, he’s gentle…it’s like we’re slowly caressing each other.
It’s a kiss that makes me feel safe.
This is why I chose Bret.
He stops the kiss, he’s got a massive grin on, “It would be my honor, milady.”
“Good!” I feel a smile split my face as well, “So, what do you say? You wanna christen these new sheets?”
Bret nods with a sparkle in his eye. He takes off his kutte and leaves it over the chair at the desk, then kicks off his boots. “Oh! Almost forgot,” he goes over to the door and locks it.
I laugh, “Good thinking!”
He comes back to me and kisses me again, gently combing a strand of hair behind my ear. After another kiss he scoops me up in his arms and takes the two whole steps to the bed and lays me down on it.
I laugh again, “Ooh! Chivalrous!”
He laughs too, “We aim to provide a full service, ma’am. Just lie back and I’ll take care of everything.”
At this point I have to force down my smile, “I was hoping you’d say that.”
Bret gets on top of me and undoes the top button on my blouse, then kisses my neck and my collar bone. Heat rises to them instantly.I can’t believe this is finally happening.
I’m feeling both scared and excited.
The next button follows and he starts kissing between my cleavage. Heat rises between my legs.
As he undoes the rest of my buttons, he traces a line with his tongue to the top of my jeans.God.
Staying still might not be an option.
He comes back up, finds my mouth once more and our tongues dance. He tastes like aman—a manly man.My hands get into his hair and I feast on his lips and his tongue.
