So, that was it. That one was easy. “Alison, I’ve been faithful, and you know it.”

“I don’t know anything. I didn’t know you went to the Club on our wedding night, and I didn’t know you almost fucked your ex-sub. I thought I could trust you, but according to my lawyer, I was wrong about that too.”

“Generally, people have their lawyer look at contracts before they sign them.” He had no idea why she was upset. She’d signed it weeks ago. There was nothing she could do about it now.

“Yeah well, I trusted you.”

“That was your mistake.” He grinned.

“It's not funny Harker.”

“How can you be upset about this? You know I haven’t been with anyone but you and I have every intention of staying monogamous.” He stood and walked over toward her. “I want you, Alison. No one else.”

“Then why did you put that addendum in the contract if you didn’t want to have sex with other women?”

“We wrote the contract before I knew how it’d be with you.” He half-sat on his desk, taking her hands to pull her into his arms.

She pushed him away and took a step back. “So, if you hadn’t been satisfied with how I was in bed, you’d be out fucking other women.”

“Yeah.” He shrugged.

“You son of a bitch.”

“Oh come on. If it wasn’t good for me, it wouldn’t be good for you either. You’d be happy I wasn’t panting after you and pestering you to have unsatisfying sex morning, noon and night.” He grinned. “You know how much I want sex.” Although, he wanted it with her more than with any other woman he’d ever met.

“You’re saying this was for my benefit?”

“In a way, yeah. It would’ve saved us both some hassles but only if we weren’t compatible. Normally, we would’ve dated and fucked before marriage. This was protection for both of us.”

“Sounds more like a prison sentence for me. I’d have to put up with your ineptitude in bed, but you’d get to fuck anyone you wanted. If you were really looking out for both of us, I’d get to find someone better to fuck too.”

“That isn’t possible. The entire point of the contract was me having a child. There's no doubt that it'll be your child. There’s no reason for me to have to be monogamous but it’s necessary that you only have sex with me until you conceive.”

“Too bad I’m not pregnant now because then I could go out and fuck the first guy I see.”

“That’s not going to happen. Sex between us is great so there’s no reason for either of us to seek out anyone else.” He’d tie her to his bed if she tried. She was his. His wife. His lover. His.

“If there’s no reason for the addendum to the clause, change it.”

“Since I have no intention of sleeping with anyone else that part of the contract doesn't matter.”

“It does to me.”

“It shouldn't. We're together all the time.”

“Now, but what about later? If you decide to have sex with somebody else you don't lose the baby, but if I do sleep with someone besides you, I lose my partnership in the company.”

“That’s not true. If you have sex with someone else that puts my part of the contract at risk. You could be pregnant with somebody else's child, and I wouldn't know that until we had a DNA test after the baby was born.”

“Harker just change the contract. If we’re married, we both—”

“If we’re married?” He wanted to punch something every time she pointed out that their marriage wasn’t real. “Oh, that’s right. We’re only married for the contract as you like to point out. The contract that you read and signed as it is right now.”

“Why is this such a big deal to you? If you don’t plan on having sex with anyone else, then change the contract. Otherwise, I have to assume that you’re planning to do exactly that.”

“I am not. I don’t want anyone else, and you should trust me. Every relationship is built on trust. Other couples don’t have contracts. If they’re together they’re monogamous, and that’s how I feel about you. About us. I’m with you. I’m not going to be with anyone else.”

“But we do have a contract and you put in writing that you get to fuck anyone you want.”
