I smirked. I loved when I made her get all flustered like that. I stepped backward toward the pool at the base of the waterfall, then did a backflip into the water. I heard Liv gasp right before my head went under.

The water was cool and refreshing, just as I thought it would be. I popped back up for air, smirking at her. “Are you gonna join me?”

She glanced around again. We were the only ones there, but the mountains were popular for hiking and other outdoor activities. “I don’t know. We don’t have any towels or extra clothes. And what if someone sees us?”

I rolled my eyes. “C’mon, Liv, live a little. How many times have you been to a waterfall in the mountains?”

She fought a smile, shaking her head. “Never.”

I swam toward the edge of the pool where she was standing. “You only live once. You might not get this chance again.”

She let out an exasperated sigh. “Fine, fine.” She stripped out of her clothes, keeping only her bra and panties on. “Is it cold?”

“It’s perfect. Now, get your ass in here.”

Liv grinned before sitting on the edge and slipping her feet in.

Gripping her calves, I gave her a mischievous smirk.

“Don’t you da—” She shrieked as I pulled her in, the last of her threat cut off as she plunged underwater.

I laughed as she popped back up, sputtering and pushing the hair out of her face. She frowned as she splashed water at me. “Dammit, Lincoln.”

I put my arms up to protect myself from her splashing, unable to stop laughing.

When she finally stopped, she was still giving me the evil eye with her arms crossed over her chest. I grabbed one of her arms and pulled her to me.

She turned her head, avoiding my eyes.

I chuckled. “Aww, c’mon, Liv, don’t be that way. I was only having a little fun.” I nuzzled against her neck, pressing soft kisses along the sensitive skin.

Her legs wrapped around me as she sighed, draping her arms around my neck. “I guess I can’t stay mad at you. You did plan this amazing trip after all.” She paused, smiling at me for a few seconds. “Thank you, for everything.”

I twirled her around in the water and kissed her. “You’re welcome.”

We swam until our skin started to wrinkle before getting out. Liv put her hair up in a messy bun, then tried to shake off the water clinging to her body.

“Hey,” I called out to get her attention. When she looked at me, I tossed my shirt at her. “You can use that that to dry off.”

Her forehead creased in confusion. “What about you?”

“I’m good. I’ll just air dry,” I replied as I put my jeans back on.

She laughed as she used my shirt as a towel, then put her clothes back on.

We returned to the main property and went back to our room to get ready for dinner. Liv put on my favorite dress of hers, and I wore slacks and a gray dress shirt.

“You sure do clean up nice,” Liv complimented, straightening the collar of my shirt.

“Thank you, love.” I smirked proudly, placing my hands on her hips. “You know I love that dress on you. You look stunning.”

Her cheeks flushed as she darted her eyes down. “Thank you.”

Leaning down, I pressed a kiss to her cheek before whispering in her ear, “I almost want to cancel our dinner plans so that I can have you all to myself.”

She shook her head with a chuckle. “You can have me all to yourself after this amazing dinner you promised me.” Taking a step back, she grabbed her purse off the table and made her way toward the door, winking at me over her shoulder.

I followed her, wondering how I got so lucky.
