“I’m not sorry.”

“Keep it up.”

Now that I’m certain he can’t come inside, which will probably aggravate him further, I crawl into bed. Serves him right.

The door opens, and my jaw drops.

How?

Reading my stunned expression, he says, “It’s my plane. There’s a panel on the outside.”

Why does he have to be so good-looking and imposing? Every part of me finds him attractive. No wonder my body turns against me.

He taps a finger on his lips. “You were saying?”

He stalks toward me and my skin lights on fire. I am hyperaware of his proximity.

“It’s what you do to me.”

There, I said it. He won’t get another apology.

Proud of myself, I cross my arms over my chest. He cocks his head, eyes burning through me.

“Hmm, apparently, I missed the apology.”

He prowls toward the bed until he’s in front of me. His scent and his body create an addictive combination. I come undone. That intense look on his face disarms me. Right now, everything in me submits to everything in him.

He peels off his jacket and throws it off to the side. Rolling his shirt to his elbows, he says, “No woman has ever made me lose my control. No woman heats the blood in my veins like you. And no other woman makes me want to own them like I do you.”

I open my mouth to deny it.

“I’m talking, I’m giving. You will listen, and you will take what I have.”

He crawls on top of me and puts his finger on my lips.

“Why would you ever be jealous when I am desperate for you? You should be afraid of what I feel for you. To be honest, that wouldn’t change a thing. You’re mine.”

Cameron slams his lips on mine. He’s right. I love the feeling of falling into the abyss.

“I have no other woman. I don’t want another woman. You give me something better than anything I’ve ever experienced.”

He lifts my chin, and the sincerity in his eyes undoes me.

I play with the ends of his hair. Who needs an “I love you” when you have everything else?

“I would die a thousand deaths for you, live a hundred lifetimes of pain if you’d be there, waiting for me at home.”

I know he’s telling the truth.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t even know I could be jealous...”

Through kisses, he says, “No need to explain. I’m only yours.”

I nod, and he undresses me. While kissing and touching me, I help him undress too. We kiss until our mouths are swollen, our uncontainable desperation urging us on. We touch each other until our hands shake, and he makes love to me, sweetly and gently.

His dreamy eyes bore into mine, and the corner of his mouth curls up in a smile. With every gentle thrust, he owns me more, inch by inch. He thumbs away the tear falling down my cheek.

“You’ve ruined me, Violet.”
