New Year’s Day...
“SON OF A BITCH!!!”
Bolting from the bed, I looked around wide awake.
“Who the hell was that?”
“Frank,” Scribe moaned, rolling out of bed holding his head still as he looked a little green, before he quickly laid back down.
The club threw a huge party to welcome in the New Year last night. Everyone partied, drank and danced until they passed out. It was a blast. Well, I didn’t because after peeing on a stick it looked as if Freyja was right.
I was pregnant.
While I was a little apprehensive about becoming a mother for the first time, Scribe acted like he won the fucking lottery and partied with his brothers all night long.
“Why is he shouting?”
“Who knows? Maybe he stubbed his toe. Maybe the gravitational pull of the earth stopped spinning. Who knows with Frank? It could be anything.”
Reaching for my robe, I quickly donned it before leaving the room, only to bump into Priest.
“Did Frank wake you up too?”
“Asshole woke the whole fucking club,” Priest grumbled, marching down the hall to bang on Frank’s door.
“Open up, asshole.”
“Go away!”
“Frank, it’s Henley. Come on, big guy. Open up.”
“ABSOLUTELY NOT!”
“What the hell is going on?” King slurred, stumbling down the hallway looking still drunk.
“Frank’s losing his shit,” Priest muttered, hanging his head as he leaned against the wall, holding his stomach. He too looked drunk and if he turned any greener, I was betting he was going to get sick.
“Move out of my way.” Bailey stormed past King, before banging on Frank’s door. “Open this door right now, Frank. You interrupted my beauty sleep!”
“Sorry, Bailey.” We all heard him softly say before he added, “But I’m not opening it.”
“Why?”
“Because I can’t!”
“Why not?” King growled.
“I don’t wanna say!”
“What the fuck is going on?” Gunner appeared in the crowded hallway. “Big man woke up my kids.”
