Henley’s eyes widened as her beautiful face flushed beet red.
Yeah, I knew I was pushing the limit, but I couldn’t help myself.

“Um, I don’t think the library has any of her books. In fact, I’m sure they don’t. This is a public library and they regulate what’s put on the shelves.”
“Well, that sucks. I really wanted to read The Biker’s Bayou Princess.”
“That’s a good one,” she whispered before slapping her hand over her mouth, blushing again.
I laughed loudly, causing patrons to shush us both.
“I can’t believe I said that.”
“Nothing wrong with reading erotic romance, Henley. In fact, that genre is one of my favorite reads. Law books get boring after a while, and even I need something I can sink my teeth into and wrap my hand around.”
Internally, I chuckled.
Damn, I was funny.
Too bad what I wanted to sink my teeth into and wrap my hand around was looking at me like a deer in the headlights.
She gulped, slowly nodding in agreement.
It was time to kick this up a notch.
I wanted to see how responsive she would be to me.
Leaning against the shelf, I smirked, barely whispering, “So, what do you like to sink your teeth into?”
She swallowed nervously, her eyes glued to my lips as I licked them, teasingly.
“I... um... I like...”
Pushing off the shelf, I took a step closer to her.
Her breath hitched.
“You like what, Princess?”
“I like...” She gulped.
“Tell me,” I murmured softly as I tilted her head up to look into her fathomless blue eyes.
I was so close.
One more word from her and I was about to taste the promised land.
“Hi, Scribe!” a very familiar voice said, obliterating my moment, causing Henley to jump back, blinking several times.
Groaning, I turned to the cock-blocking brat and growled, “Cameron.”
“Hi, Henley!” The fucking nuisance smiled gleefully. “What are you two doing back here? The good books are over there.”
