“But I didn’t...”

And with that argument now in full swing, I bolted out the front door, heading for my truck. I had just opened the door when Cameron popped up out of nowhere.

“Hi, Scribe!”

YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!

“Hey, little man.”

“Where ya going?”

“Gotta meet Henley at her place.”

“Thought you said she was coming back here?”

“She changed her mind.”

“Can I come with ya? I want to see her pet rat Apollo.”

“Not this time, buddy. Maybe later.”

“Why?”

“Cameron, it’s time to head home,” Pyro said, walking over.

Thank fuck!

“Scribe, since you’re heading out, I need you to swing by the construction site and check on things. Make sure the boys secure everything. Got a winter storm rolling in early in the morning and I want to be sure everything’s locked up tight.”

Groaning, I nodded.

I was never getting out of here.

Fuck.

“Sure thing, Pyro.”

“I can help!” Cameron grinned, offering his services.

Shaking my head at Pyro, I silently pleaded with him as my brother grinned evilly. “Sure thing, buddy. When you get done at the site, Scribe, just drop him off at the house.”

“SWEET!” Cameron punched the air before climbing into my truck.

Growling, I stepped closer to Pyro and threatened, “I’m going to get you back for this, asshole.”

Pyro smirked. “Better hurry, Scribe. Henley’s waiting.”

Watching him walk away laughing, images of Pyro strung up by his cock filtered into my head.

I was going to cock-block his ass for the next millennium!

“Let’s go, Scribe! We got manly stuff to do.”

Hanging my head, I sighed.

Shit.

By the time I finally dropped off Cameron, the excitement of meeting Henley was gone. All I wanted was to head back to the clubhouse and sleep until the New Year. I loved the kid. I really did, but sometimes he could suck the life out of a fucking rock!
