"I was too preoccupied to be upset." I ran my hands over his defined chest. "You could remind me of all the activities again though. Maybe twice."

He sucked in a breath. "I would love nothing more, but we really should stop. I'm not well-versed in vegan eggs. I'd hate for you to eat them burned for breakfast."

I huffed and released him. "Fine." I kissed his back again before I took a seat at my small dining table.

"I'll make it up to you later. I promise."

I grinned at his back. "I'll hold you to that."

"I'm cooking for you, aren't I? I think it's safe to say I keep my word."

I placed my arm on the table and rested my head on it. "When did you wake up?"

"About an hour ago," he shrugged. "Maybe two. I cleaned up a bit. I watered your plants, so you don't have to worry about that. I wasn't really sure what else to do. I thought I'd make you breakfast. It took me a while to figure out what I could make that you could actually eat. Eventually, I decided on toast and eggs."

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me yet, it could end up being horrible."

"I thought you said you could cook."

"I believe my exact words were 'decent.'"

I laughed. He finished making breakfast and served it on two plates. When he turned around and saw what I was wearing, he froze. His brown eyes instantly darkened, and I noticed his grip on the plates tighten.

He dropped the dishes on the table and gazed down at me. I sat up. "I regret stopping you earlier. If I'd seen what you were wearing, I never would have."

I played with the top button of the shirt, a lazy smirk on my face. His eyes were locked on my hands. "Three guesses what I'm wearing underneath."

"If you tell me you're naked under that shirt, we won't be able to eat breakfast."

I covered my shirt back up. "Okay," I said with a shrug. "Then I won't tell you."

His lips curved into a smile. "I don't know if I've told you this, but you're not what I expected at all, Sophia."

"I hope you mean that in a good way."

"I mean it in the best way." He leaned down, cupped my cheek, and then kissed me. His lips slid against mine with the same ease as last night.

I held a hand to the back of his neck and tilted my head. Our noses bumped slightly at the new angle, and our tongues slid over each other.

Alexander drew back from me, slowly. My eyelids struggled to open. "What about breakfast?"

"There's something else I'd rather eat right now." My whole body heated up at his words. "But it's already ten o'clock. I know you must be hungry, especially after last night, so I'll hold off for now."

"Shame." I crossed my legs with a grin. "You really do have to make it up to me later."

He brought out a jug of orange juice from my fridge and grabbed two glasses. "I look forward to it."

The sight of breakfast made my stomach rumble. I hadn't even noticed how hungry I was until I took the first bite of toast. Breakfast was delicious. The eggs were cooked properly, and the hot coffee made me feel more awake.

"Thank you for breakfast." I noticed the tiny red dots on his chest. "Sorry about the oil burns."

"It's okay." He took a sip of his orange juice. "You’re worth it."

"Thank you."

"You're too tempting over there in my shirt."
