“Now you’vegone and done it." He murmured hoarsely.

"Done what?"

"Stirred thingsup." He covered her body and she guided him in, closing her eyeswhen he filled her up.

Much later after theyhad supper and gone back to bed, he gave them both their wishes, making love to her until she fell asleep in his arms.

Even as he held heragainst him, the comfort of her voluptuous curves snug against him,he couldn’t sleep. Everything made it difficult for him to justdrift off. A smile crossed his lips as he closed his eyes. Hismiracle had finally arrived.

Chapter 16

She had to go home toget dressed for work on Monday. "I didn’t think I’dbe staying the entire weekend."

"You should packsome more stuff." He told her casually. It was frustrating toher that even after the heavy and intense weekend they’d justspent together, it was still difficult for him to say what he wasfeeling. She knew where he was coming from, however, and wasdetermined to be patient.

"Why, darling, are you asking me to move in with you?" She teased. They were inhis kitchen where he’d put the coffee on.

"I meant itwould be more convenient and -" Shaking his head at how much hewas bungling things, he went to pour some coffee. "I’venever lived with anyone before."

"Neither haveI."

"That guy - wereyou in love with him?" They’d talked about his past orsome of it and she’d told him about losing her Dad and brotherand how distressing it was to have her mother suffering.

"No."

"You werepartners as well as lovers?" He couldn’t believe he wasjealous.

"We drifted inthe relationship." She was beginning to know him and even thoughhe was trying to behave as if they were discussing the weather, shecould see it was affecting him.

"It was stupidand I was so eager to form my own company I went into therelationship and the partnership. I was unfair to him and spent somuch time trying to drum up business that I didn’t have timefor him."

Putting down the cup,she came to stand in front of him. Taking his cup, she put it down soshe could snuggle into him. "I’ve never loved anyone untilnow. Aside from my family, that is, but that's a different lovealtogether." She touched his face. "I love you, NashHamilton, never forget that."

His eyes wereglittering. Here he was, inside his kitchen, and it felt natural tobe with her. He’d spent the entire weekend making love to herand he wanted more.

"Come to metonight." He whispered urgently, his lips inches away from hers.He could feel her breath and her nipples pressing against his chest."I need you."

"You know Iwill. How am I going to work knowing you’re on the firstfloor?" She breathed. "The boss is going to fire me for notgetting any work done."

"The boss willmake allowances for it." He kissed her as the passion explodedbetween them.

"Good Christ!"He whispered shakily, resting his chin on top of her head as hefought for control. "If I didn’t have meetings-"

"We’ll tryand hurry home. I have to go and see my Mom and then I’m comingstraight here."

"I’d liketo meet her."

The request stunnedher so much that she jerked her head up to look at him. "Comeagain?"

A smile crossed hislips. "She’s going to be my mother-in-law eventually. Weshould look into some proper treatment for her."

"Nash." Shewas so overwhelmed, she had no idea what to say.

"Speechless,darling?"

Her eyes widened atthe unexpected endearment. "Nash." She couldn’t stopthe tears from sliding down her cheeks.

"Happy tears?"He whispered, wiping them away.
