"Yes.Absolutely. I love you so much."

He kissed her again, this time with a gentleness that had her clinging to him.

"We have to go."

"Just a few moreminutes." She whispered into his chest. "I need it."

She had no idea howto act when she got to the office later that morning. He still hadn’tsaid anything about coming out with their relationship and sherealized it was going to be a touchy situation.

When it came out theywere seeing each other, there was going to be talk. Her position wasgoing to change. The camaraderie she shared with her team and therest of the people on the second floor was going to change. She’dbe looked at as the boss' girlfriend and the speculations about themlasting would be an issue.

She couldn’teven say anything to Hillary who’d been instrumental in gettingher the job in the first place. She’d just have to carry on asusual, even though that was incredibly hard to do. He was going tohave to be the one to decide when they should go public.

He was the one who’dhave lawyers crawling all over him because of their relationship. So,she would wait and, in the meantime, she was going to be doing herjob.

The company had comeup with some new type of farming equipment that was going torevolutionize farming all over the world and she and her team weregiving teasers to the press without giving away the entirety of itand that was what she was concentrating on.

It shouldn’thave astonished her how brilliant the man she’d fallen headover heels in love with was, but it did.

He had his R&Ddepartment doing studies on different digging implements and had comeup with an instrument that not only softened the soil but spread theseeds in half the time it’d taken before.

It was hush-hush dueto the delicacy of the negotiations with several foreign investorsand fears that one of their competitors would get hold of the ideaand run with it.

Now it was at itsfinal stage, the PR department was given the go-ahead to feed thepress' excitement. It staggered her to realize how vast his resourceswere. It scared her a little to think of him as her man. She hadn’tdared hope a guy like him could be into her. She didn’t lackconfidence, but he was Nash Hamilton.

All those thoughtstumbled around her head as she entered the conference room where theboard was meeting and saw him sat at the head of the table. He’dtaken off his tailored jacket and opened the top two buttons toexpose his throat.

She’d kissedhim there and could feel the warmth stealing over her skin. He lookedup and their eyes met and held, a silent message passing that had heralmost dropping her folders.

Taking a deep breath, she made her way to her designated seat and was careful to avoidlooking at him. If she looked in his direction, she was going toshock the entire room and jump him.

In his position atthe head of the table, Nash couldn’t help the smile playingaround his lips. He knew exactly what she was thinking, because hewas thinking it too.

It felt strange tohave the woman who’d become his lover sat in the same room withhim and no one else knew. That was going to change very soon, he’ddecided on his way to the office. He didn’t want to keep her asecret. He was in love with her and the scariness of that it wasleaving him breathless.

Toying with theballpoint pen on the desk in front of him, he half-listened to thevarious reports, his eyes still trained on her. He loved howflustered she was. She studiously avoided looking at him, but henoticed the tension as she fidgeted with her iPad.

She’d gone homeand put on work clothes, a yellow sweater dress which she paired witha black jacket. Her hair was braided on one side of her head, thethick plait curving over her shoulder.

His eyes driftedreluctantly away from her to nod acknowledgment to the board memberwho’d stopped speaking.

"Allison?"

He saw her stiffen atthe use of her first name and she wasn’t the only one. Everyeye turned to look at her.

"Sir- I mean,Mr. Hamilton. I-" She lapsed into silence as she stared at him,not knowing what to do.

"Speechless?"The teasing tone and intimate look he was giving her couldn’tbe mistaken and the entire room was silent. "You’re up."He nudged gently.

"Ah, yes."She cleared her throat and rose gracefully. He had to admire hercourage. She managed to give a detailed and concise report while theystared at her.

"Um-" Shecleared her throat again. "That's all for now. David will besending everyone the social media reaction."

"Thank you."Nash inclined his head teasing her again. "You’redismissed."

She fled and he lether go, gaze lingering on the doorway.
