We walk onto the back porch with the yellow hammock and my breath is taken away as I admire the vast stunning view. It’s a freaking screensaver. It’s pure mountain wilderness from his back porch. It’s wild.

“I didn’t know people actually live like this,” I say as I stare at the rocky peaks in the distance. “The view from my back window is another apartment building.”

“Wait until you see the sunsets from here,” he says as he gazes at the landscape with a serene look on his face. “They’re beautiful, but they always make me feel so lonely.”

“Why?”

“They’re so romantic, and it’s lonely being the only one in such a romantic spot.”

I smile at him, thinking that his lonely days might be over soon if I have anything to say about it.

“Come inside,” he says as he heads to the door. “I want to show you the complete lack of creepiness in my house.”

I laugh as we walk inside. The inside is just as gorgeous. And clean. I like a man who keeps a clean house. This is the ultimate test because he didn’t know I was coming. I can’t imagine anything worse than a man who fools you by cleaning up every time you come over while you’re dating and then once you get married, his true slovenly ways appear.

He has a nice open kitchen with a modern style. There’s a stone fireplace in the living room which contrasts nicely with the decor. I like it. A lot.

My eyes get drawn to the framed maps on the walls. He has all of these old hand-drawn maps of the area that look so unique and true to him. I can see what he was saying about maps being art as I walk over and admire an old map drawn with black ink on a sheet of thick parchment.

“That was the first map drawn up of the Greene Mountains,” he says as he comes over and joins me.

My body gets a warm shiver as he gets in nice and close.

“It was drawn by the first explorers in the area,” he says in a sexy voice. “Curtis and Malcolm Reinhard. Look, they signed it here.”

“I want to see your maps,” I say as I turn around and look up at him.

“My maps?”

I nod. “Will you show me?”

“I’ll show you anything you want,” he says with a grin. “Come.”

I’m all lightheaded and thinking dirty thoughts as I follow him down the hall to his office. There are a few other things I’d like to see beyond some old maps, that’s for sure.

“Oh cool,” I say as I walk into his workshop and he shows me around. He has a similar piece of parchment laid out on his massive desk and he’s halfway done a map of the Greene Mountains. It’s stunning. It’s not like a map you’d find in a gas station, this looks like a map you’d find in an art gallery with an obscenely expensive price tag. “Do you sell these?”

“I have a few clients around the world who buy them,” he says, “although it’s just a hobby.”

I spot an invoice on his desk and I accidentally see the price. Twenty-five thousand dollars! That’s some hobby!

He looks so happy in this space as he shows me how he illustrates them with some fancy ink pens.

I stand back and watch him, admiring how meticulous he is with every movement of his pen. His eyes are narrowed, his forehead scrunched up in concentration as he sketches out the curve of a river. He’s so good at it, and somehow that makes him even sexier to me.

An image of him clearing the desk with one arm and taking me on it flashes into my mind.

Would he show the same level of dedication and care as he explores my body?

Or would it be rough and fast?

I swallow hard as he puts the cap on his pen and turns to me with those smoldering blue eyes.

Maybe, I’ll find out tonight…
