I walk over to the shelf across from me and grab some paper towels to clean myself up.
“That was so hot,” I say.
“The hottest.”
“I did call just to say hi, I swear.” I laugh. I was not expecting to get hot with her over the phone.
“Sure, sure.”
“Can I see you for a second, babe?”
“Now you ask?” She laughs.
“I got caught up so quick, even without seeing you. It was hot.”
“Same here.” She clicks FaceTime before I even have a chance.
And I’m staring at the screen in the dark. She’s sitting back on the pillows with a rosy glow on her cheeks. I’m glad she has the light on so I can see her.
“You like what you see?” She laughs so sweetly that my heart soars. I haven’t even tucked my dick back in.
“Oh, I’m loving what I’m seeing.”
“Are you in a broom cupboard?”
I laugh. “Yeah, something like that.”
“Living on the edge, Ashton Rivers.”
I love how she says my name. “I need to see you.”
“You’re looking at me,” she says, sweet as pie. She still has her robe partly open, but I can’t see her tits.
“I mean in person.”
“Yeah, there is that.”
“You know the playoffs are over. I have some time.”
She smiles, biting her lip. I want to have those succulent lips wrapped around me now, not even tomorrow. “Are you gonna fly out here?”
I pretend to glance at my watch, and she laughs. “The airport is open all night,” I tell her. “Better be careful I don’t land on your doorstep.”
“I wouldn’t mind if you did.”
I laugh. “Careful what you wish for, little one.”
“I’ll talk to you soon, yeah?”
“Yup, when I land.” I don’t know if she thinks I’m serious.
She laughs again. It’s a sweet, sweet sound.
“Goodnight, Mads.”
“Goodnight, Ash.”
We click off, and I can’t help but feel on cloud nine.
