I felt nervous as I prepared for the wedding. Bailey had left before I woke up, and I knew that seeing her would ease my anxiety. I dressed quickly and went to Bo’s house. I encountered Bailey’s cousins and aunts who were busy with preparations. In a hurry, I made my way inside before someone could stop me. I checked every room until I heard Izzy’s voice.

“Please take a deep breath. That’s it, deep breaths. Do you feel calmer?”

“I just need to see Cole to reassure myself that he won’t leave me at the church or alone in the yard. I promise I’ll be right back.”

I pushed the door open, and Bailey clapped her hands in delight. She threw her arms around me and kissed me passionately. “You’re here. I’m so happy you came to see me. I was afraid you might change your mind.”

“Sweetheart, I would never change my mind. I am spending the rest of my life with you and our children. Now, kiss me so Izzy can finish what she was doing. I’ll see you in an hour.”

“Alright, I’ll see you in an hour. Cole, you look handsome.”

“And you, my darling, look absolutely beautiful.” I noticed her glance down, and both Izzy and Bailey burst into laughter. She was standing there in her underwear and a tank top.

The wedding turned out to be magical. I couldn’t tell if it was because I had never thought I would get married or because my bride was so stunning. I saw the sadness in her eyes because Jackie wasn’t there with her, and I may have shed a tear for the same reason. When she reached my side, I whispered in her ear. “She’s watching from above and so happy for you.”

“I know you’re right. I love you.”

“I love you so much.”

“Are you two going to get married, or will you continue to have a long conversation? Steel called out.

Bailey chuckled, and I kissed her again. Then, they pronounced us husband and wife. I never let her out of my site. At one point, I saw her carrying one of Jaz’s twins, and soon, it would be our own baby she would be carrying.

“Why are you watching me so closely?” Bailey asked as she put her arms around me.

“Because I love you, and we need to leave for our honeymoon.”

“We’re going on a honeymoon?”

“Of course we are. Where would you like to go?”

“I will love wherever you pick. I don’t care where we go.”

I just want to escape from all these people we always have around us. So, I booked us a resort hotel in Sedona, Arizona. How does that sound to you.”

“That sounds wonderful. I’ve always wanted to go there.”

“Good. Did I tell you how beautiful you look?”

“Yes.”

“Did I tell you how much I love you?”

“Yes, I love you too.”

“We should say goodbye to everyone.”

“Alright. My sister did such a great job.”

“Yes, she did.”

I set the table as Bailey prepared dinner. Her growing baby bump was visible under her tee shirt. I walked over and held her in my arms. “Have I mentioned how much I love you? You make me so happy being my wife. It’s incredible to witness our baby growing inside of you. I can’t wait to hold our little one in my arms.”

Bailey smiled warmly her eyes filled with love. “You make me happy too, my husband. And this baby is going to be surrounded by so much love.”
