"I bought you a fancy bottle of wine too. Well, I ordered it. You have to pay for it. You're the one who was late."

"Laney?"

"Yes?"

"You're still a shit liar."

"Whatever," I mumble, refusing to budge. "Feed me, crazy man. And then I'll tell you all my secrets."

He laughs quietly, pressing his face to my throat. "You know what you want to eat?"

"Steak. And those fancy potatoes they serve here."

"Duchess potatoes."

"Yes, those."

He kisses beneath my ear and then sits up again, keeping his arm around me. "I missed you today, angel."

"I missed you too."

"Did Alexis have a good day at school?"

"Mmhmm. Her class party was fun. Lola enjoyed it too."

"No boys?"

I shake my head, smiling. Ever since Alexis brought home a Valentine when she was five, he asks about boys every day. Meanwhile, Alexis is at that stage where boys are gross and should be avoided like the plague…which is also his fault since he encourages it. I swear, she and Lola are never getting married if Wes and their brothers have any say in the matter.

Dax and Deacon are almost as bad as Wes when it comes to their sisters. They drive Alexis crazy. Lola is only three, so she's happy as a clam that Dax and Deacon follow her all over the place. Alexis, on the other hand, gets so annoyed when her brothers won't leave her alone.

She tells us she's moving out at least once a week. If the baby isn't another girl, she may mutiny. Alexis looks a lot like me and acts a lot like Wes. She's going to conquer the world when she grows up. She's incredibly smart.

"Good," Weston grunts, satisfied that his little girl is safe for another day from the horrors of schoolyard crushes.

Brad heads toward us with our bottle of wine, which makes Wes scowl.

I elbow him in the ribs. He says he can't take me anywhere, but really, he's the one I can't take anywhere. He gets all grumpy if our waiter is a man. If we get a woman instead, she spends all her time staring at him. But do I get grumpy? No.

Weston only has eyes for me. From the day we met, I've never doubted his feelings for me. He shows me every day how much he loves me. And god, I love him so much it's still a little terrifying and exciting. Agreeing to be his Valentine was the best decision I ever made. He's made me unbelievably happy for the last ten years.

I still miss my dad like crazy, but Wes makes sure he always has a place in our lives and in the lives of our kids. We talk about my dad to them a lot and take them to visit his grave on his birthday every year. My mom is around more now that we have kids. I guess she decided that she wants to be a better grandma than she was a mom. We get along fine. She loves Wes.

"Here you go." Brad sets the wine and glasses down on the table. "Would you like me to pour?"

"I got it," Wes mutters.

I elbow him again.

"Are you ready to order or would you like a few minutes?"

Wes quickly tells him what we want and then starts nuzzling my neck again, not even caring that Brad is standing right in front of us or that we're in a restaurant. Weston never cares. He says I belong to him and he can kiss me whenever he wants to kiss me.

When I ask if that means he belongs to me, he gets all sweet and says I own every part of him, every day. It's impossible to stay mad at a man who is ridiculously, happily in love with you and wants the whole world to know it.

Brad winks at me before he wanders off this time, which makes me laugh. I think he knows Wes is jealous and finds it hilarious.

"I got you something," Wes murmurs once he's gone.
