Me: I thought so. See you Tuesday.

Emma: See ya, boss.

I toss my phone back down on the bed and then climb to my feet. For a second, I consider wrapping up in a sheet, but then shrug. If Gray can walk around naked all day, so can I. Besides, I like the way he looks at me. He makes me feel sexy and wanted.

"Before we drop you off at the arena, can we run by my place?" I ask, coming up behind him in the closet and wrapping my arms around him. I lay my head against his broad back.

"Sure. Why?"

"I need to pack some things."

"Okay." He rummages through his collection of t-shirts for another minute before grabbing a Predators tee. And then he hesitates and grabs another one.

I smile when he turns around and holds it out to me.

"What's this?"

"For you to sleep in," he says, and then rubs his head like he's feeling sheepish. "In case you get to missing me."

"Hmm," I say, taking the shirt from him. I shake it out to look at it, smiling when I see his name emblazoned across the back of it. "Maybe I'll wear it today since I plan to sleep naked tonight."

"Camila, angel. You can't tease me about being naked in my bed when I won't be here to enjoy it," he says, pouting. "That's cruel and unusual punishment."

"Yeah?" I press my breasts up against his chest, getting as close to him as I can. "And what if I plan to sleep naked with you tonight?"

"Oh, fuck yeah," he says, and then seems to realize what I said. "Wait. What?"

"I'm going to Texas with you," I say. "I mean, if you still want me to…Gray! Gray!" I pound on his back with my fists, laughing hysterically as he scoops me up over his shoulder before I even finish speaking and carries me like a sack of potatoes back to the bedroom.

A few seconds later, my back hits the bed. I slap my hair out of my face to look at him.

"So, I guess that's a yes?" I say, smiling up at him.

"Hell yes!" he shouts, pouncing on me and leaving me squealing with laughter.

Chapter Nine

Gray

"Stop looking at myfuture wife," I growl at Theo, tapping the back of his skate with mine.

"She's standing right in front of me," he protests, throwing out a hand to indicate what he means. As if I don't know exactly where she is in the arena. It's full of other men. I haven't taken my eyes off her once.

"Turn around and face the other way, then," I say, seriously rethinking my career. There are way too many other men at hockey games. And Camila looks too beautiful as she and Kelsey chat back and forth from behind the bench. The game hasn't even started yet, and I'm already eager for it to end so I can carry her off to the hotel and make love to her.

Kelsey is stressing out about Rhonda's interview, but I'm not worried about it. I've apologized for what Cal did, and that's all I can do. If slinging a little mud makes her feel better, then I'll let her sling it. So long as whatever she has to say doesn't hurt Camila, I'm fine with taking the hit. It's the least I can do.

"Did you hear that Kelsey wants to cancelWin a Date?" Jonas asks, skating up to me and Theo.

"Thank God," Theo mutters. "Last thing I need is to end up like Upchuck here."

Jonas cracks up. They're never going to stop calling me that bullshit.

"If you'd handle your shit, it wouldn't be a problem," I remind Theo.

He glares at me.

"Just saying."
