A shiver runs down my spine, partly from the cold air and partly from the thrill of being hunted. I'm panting, my breaths coming out in desperate gasps as I press my back against the rough tree bark. I can feel the damp leaves on the forest floor beneath me, their wetness seeping through my clothes.

"Can't catch me that easily," I whisper under my breath, a mix of determination and arousal coursing through my veins.

A low whistle cuts through the night, followed by his taunting voice. "Where are you, little rabbit? I thought you wanted more of this."

My heart races at the sound, my chest heaving. I clench my thighs together, trying to quell the heat building between them. God, I never thought I'd be so turned on by a game like this.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," he drawls, his words dripping with dark amusement. I bite my lip, torn between running or staying hidden.

The decision is made for me when his footsteps grow louder, closer. My heart leaps into my throat as I suddenly feel his presence behind me. I try to stay silent, but a small gasp escapes my lips, betraying my hiding spot.

"Found you," he murmurs, his breath hot against my ear. His hand snakes around my waist, pulling me against him with a force that makes me whimper.

"Let go!" I snarl, surprising myself with my own ferocity. I twist and squirm, driven by adrenaline and raw instinct. The fabric of my shirt tears under the force of our struggle, leaving my skin exposed to the chilly night air.

"Feisty one, aren't you?" Constantino chuckles darkly, but releases me just enough for me to break free. I don't hesitate, sprinting deeper into the forest as my torn clothes flutter behind me.

"Run, little rabbit," he calls out after me, his voice laden with dark desire. "I'll catch you again soon."

As I flee, I feel a twisted sense of exhilaration at the thought of him catching me once more. And despite my fear and the cold air biting at my skin, the warmth between my thighs only intensifies, making me crave his rough touch even more.

I stumble into a thicket, my breaths ragged and uneven as I crouch among the brambles. The torn fabric of my clothes catch on the sharp branches, but I don't care; all that matters is hiding from Constantino. As I huddle there, shivering in the cold darkness, I try to focus on my breathing, to quiet the pounding of my heart.

"Shit," I mutter under my breath, "this is insane." But despite my fear, my body betrays me, aching for his touch. A part of me hopes he doesn't find me, but another, darker part craves the inevitable capture.

The forest around me seems to come alive with shadowy shapes and eerie sounds, playing tricks on my mind. I strain my ears, listening for any sign of him - footsteps, a rustling in the bushes, his low, predatory chuckle. But all I can hear is the wind whispering through the trees and the distant hoot of an owl.

"Maybe I lost him," I think, daring to hope for just a moment.

"Looking for me, love?" Constantino's voice cuts through the silence like a knife, and suddenly he's right in front of me, stepping out from behind a tree. My heart leaps into my throat, and I scramble backward, only to find myself cornered by the dense foliage.

"Shit," I gasp, trapped and trembling with a mix of fear and desire.

"Did you really think you could hide from me?" he asks, his green eyes glinting with dark amusement. He advances toward me, his steps slow and deliberate, like a predator stalking its prey.

"Constantino, please," I beg, my voice barely a whisper. "I – I don't know if I can –"

"Ah, but you agreed to this game, didn't you?" he interrupts, towering over me. "You wanted to be chased, captured...claimed." His hand reaches out and trails along my jaw, sending shivers down my spine.

"Remember, you can always say 'stop,'" he reminds me, his voice dangerously soft. "But deep down, you don't want that, do you?"

I bite my lip, unable to speak, unable to deny the truth in his words. My body aches for him, for the wild, primal connection we discovered together. I know it's dangerous, but somehow, that only makes it all the more irresistible.

"Tell me what you want, Evelyn," Constantino demands, his lips brushing against my ear as he leans in close. "Tell me you want me to catch you, to claim you as mine."

My breath catches, caught between fear and desire. And as the darkness of the forest envelops us, I make my choice, surrendering myself to the man who has awakened the darkest depths of my soul.

Chapter Nineteen

I watch her run off like the little rabbit that she is, and my heart pounds with anticipation. The thrill of this entire encounter is just what I need to get her out of my system. Once I'm done with her, I won't care if someone else has her. There are way more important things in life than constantly thinking about what this woman is doing or who she's seeing.

As I step into the forest, I breathe in the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves. The dark night is almost suffocating, only broken by the occasional sliver of moonlight that finds its way through the dense canopy above. Leaves and twigs crunch underfoot as I slowly start to search for her.

My arousal grows as I follow the sounds of her darting this way and that. She isn't the most careful about covering her tracks or her sounds. Not to mention that she's got perfume I can smell from a mile away. But that's okay; in the end, she wants to be caught, and I want to catch her.

"Come on, little rabbit," I mutter under my breath, "you're making this too easy." My lips curve into a wicked smile. I hear her panting somewhere nearby, and the sound sends shivers down my spine.

"Can't catch me that easily," she taunts, her voice barely audible between gasps for breath.
