“You love him,” Ro said, and my cheeks warmed.

“What?” We hadn’t said anything about love. It was too soon, wasn’t it?

“He’s in love with you too, you know,” Sutton said, who’d been standing there for the rest of my encounter with him.

“I don’t?—”

“Ella.” A sigh. “I see the way he looks at you.” Audrey gave me thatlook, the one that always seemed to sayI know you better than I know myself.Which was probably true, considering we’d shared everything, always, ever since we’d shared a womb. And we might have no longer been roommates, but she could still read me easier than almost anyone.

Anyone, except for Cam.

If I wasn’t blushing before, I definitely was now. “And how does he look at me?”

“Like you’re the moon and he’s been gazing at a starless sky his whole life. Like he needs your air so he can breathe. So…”

“Audrey.” I tried to remember to breathe. “I get it. You don’t have to be such a hopeless romantic.”

She sighed. “Is that so bad?”

“No.” My voice was quiet. No, it wasn’t. Ilikedthat she romanticized life. Maybe it was time for me to start romanticizingmine.

To accept that maybe, just maybe… the things that I’d been denying were okay.

That my feelings were real.

And maybe what I was feelingwaslove.

CHAPTER 32

Cam

The day I’d been dreading had finally arrived—though it didn’t seem so bad right now, with my girl getting ready in my bathroom as I finished tying my tie.

“How do I look?” Ella said, fluttering her eyes as she smoothed down her light blue dress. It was undoubtedly her favorite color, and yet I didn’t think I could get enough of how she looked in it. How it made her eyes shine.

She was absolutely stunning in whatever she wore—but it was the way she fuckingsparkledthat enhanced every bit of her beauty.

“Perfect,” I said as I wrapped an arm around her hip. “Like I don’t want to share you tonight.” I kissed the top of her head.

“Cam,” she said, blushing as she pushed me away. Her eyes darted to the floor. “I just want to make a good impression on your dad.”

“How could anyone not like you?”Loveher, if I was being honest. If he didn’t like her, he’d be an idiot. “Just look at me. You’ve had me in the palm of your hand since that first night.”

“Stop it.”

“Stop what?” I asked innocently, pulling her against my body.

“Being so charming.”

“Mmm. No can do, Princess. Afraid you’re stuck with me.” I leaned close, my lips against her ear. “Why are you acting all shy now, when I had my tongue buried in you an hour ago?”

She came over here to get ready, and something about seeing her girly shit all over my bathroom counter, her stuff in my space, had made me hard.Fuck, but I liked it. Next year, it would be our reality every day.

I couldn’t wait.

Ella groaned as I kissed her neck. “We’re never going to get out of here if you start that now.”

“So?” I grinned, but I pulled away. Even though I’d rather be alone with her than with anyone else, I didn’t want to piss off my dad.
