Leila shook her head. He wants them both to be his. “Adler, that’s so sweet.” If she thought her heart was full before, it was overflowing now. She pulled him in, needing to hold him. She wrapped him in her arms with Skylar between them.

He pulled away just as tears fell from her eyes.

Skylar lifted her fingers to Leila’s cheek and touched a tear and cocked her head to the side.

“Oh, baby girl.” Leila laughed through the tears. “Adler wants to be your daddy. What do you think about that?”

Skylar smiled wide, showing off her two little front teeth. She leaned her head against his. “Dada.” She said in her sweet baby voice.

Leila’s heart melted.

Adler's face glowed. "That's right little beauty." He kissed her forehead and wrapped them both in his arms.
