“Nope. Come on, bunny,” he said before pulling me from Phoenix and walking toward our rooms. “Woah, did you find your weapons, and you picked two! Apollo will never believe this one.”

Grumbling at the infuriating man, I deposited my weapons on my bed and followed him into Apollo's room. I haven’t been in here since he bared his feelings to me and I was hit with a rush of memories from that night.

I looked around at everyone in the room, landing my gaze on Apollo. I could see he was thinking the same thing, remembering the night we shared.

“Thank you for listening,” Lydia said, interrupting my thoughts.

“I’m not here for you; I’m here for them,” I said, pointing to the guys spread out around the room.

“I understand,” she said, dropping her gaze to the floor.

I went to take a seat next to Atlas on the bed, Apollo glared daggers at me the whole way, but I was fresh out of fucks to give. Atlas swept me off my feet and positioned me between his spread legs, resting his chin on my shoulder.

I turned to place a quick kiss on his cheek. Phoenix was sitting on the desk, with Eros in the chair next to him, and Apollo was being his normal broody self. Arms crossed, leaning against the wall.

Lydia was fidgeting back and forth on her feet, standing in the middle of the room. She looked uncomfortable, and a little bit of my anger melted away at the sight.

“So, you claim you're my aunt.” The words flew from my mouth before I could stop them.

Before she could answer, a scratching sound came from the door.

Lydia looked to Apollo for guidance, and with a short nod from the broody asshole, she walked over and opened the door.

A snarling Isarr stood on the other side, and he looked pissed. He walked over, jumping up on the bed to stand nose-to-nose with me.

“Seriously Isarr, the bed!” Apollo seethed.

He immediately shut his mouth when my wolf turned his way, putting his hands up in defeat.

Huh, good to know my wolf can make the Alpha back down. The thought had me smiling to myself.

There is nothing to be smiling about!

Isarr snapped at me, I’ve never seen him this angry, and it was scary as shit.

All the blood drained from my face as I waited to hear what he wanted to say.

I had hoped you would come to your senses, but enough is enough. You are too fucking stubborn for your own good, Diana. This is your aunt, and you will listen to what she has to say! Stop being a snarky child and grow the fuck up!

At the last bit, he snapped his jaws and licked his lips.

“Okay, point taken. I’m sorry. Lydia, please talk,” I said as Isarr laid across my lap. I guess he’s staying for the conversation. When his growling died down, I dug my fist into his hair, loving the silky feel of it.

He didn't protest, so I took that as a good sign and proceeded to pet my wolf as I waited for Lydia to start explaining.

Lydia looked my way; worry crossed her face before she sighed and started explaining her story.

“Well, your dad was my brother. When I wasn’t gifted, and the monsters kept coming, he thought it would be best if I stayed my distance. So shortly after you were born, I left and never looked back, for all our safety.”

The pain in her face made me believe what she was saying was true.

“Okay, skip to the part about why Lucifer is after her,” Atlas said, impatience lacing his tone.

“Diana was never meant to be born. It was a curse on the Nephus line long ago that all of the women were cursed to only have boys. For a thousand years, there has never been a girl born from true Nephus blood.” Lydia looked hurt as she was telling us about the curse.

“So, you're not my aunt!” I screamed. I was so pissed she lied; if no females were born, then she couldn’t be my dad’s sister.

“No, I am! I swear to you; I’m your dad's half-sister. We share the same mom but different dads, but he didn't see me any differently. When his dad died from a demon, his mom remarried and had me. That’s beside the point, though; your existence is supposed to be impossible. That is why Lucifer wants you. It was stated in the curse that if a true Nephus girl is born, then her soul belongs to the devil himself. That is why they kept your birth a secret; no one could know who you really were. It’s why you didn't come to Enyo Institute when you were eighteen; your parents were trying to protect you. Your life depended on it, but now that they know, Lucifer will never stop coming for you. Your soul belongs to him.” Tears filled her eyes, and she looked away from me.
