“Did you meet him online? I’m so glad you’re dating again. It’s been, what? At least a year since you and Daniel broke up?”

“Almost two years. But I didn’t meet him online. Well, sort of.”

Mia laughed. “I’m going to need you to be a bit more specific before I can help, cuz.”

“Okay. Okay.” She bit her lip, got up from the couch and started to pace. “So, you know how you told me about that club you go to sometimes?”

“Yes.”

“And you know I had some questions before about…kink. Spankings and stuff?”

“Oh! This is a kink connection!”

“Yeah. Sort of. I mean, I guess it is,” she said, not sure how to say out loud that she was a Little, not even to her kinky cousin.

“Cuz, you really need to tell me what’s going on,” Mia said. “How can I help?”

“First, can you promise you won’t judge me? I mean, I haven’t done anything stupid, just…something a lot of people look down on.”

“I would never judge you,” Mia assured her. “You can tell me anything.”

Frankie took a big breath and blew it out. “Well, you see, there’s something I’ve kinda known about myself for a while, and…it’s not something I shared with anyone. I mean, I tried to talk to Daniel about it and he pretty much thought I needed to go to therapy. So, for a while I thought so, too, but I didn’t thinkI could talk to even a therapist about it, because it’s… it’s not something normal people are supposed to want.”

“Francesca? Are you trying to tell me you’re into kink? Because you already know I am, so I’m not sure I understand why you’d be nervous telling me.”

“I do know, but this is more than just spanking,” she said, her nerves jumping, making her tummy hurt.

“What? Like whips and stuff? I’ve seen all that. It doesn’t shock me. Honestly, nothing really shocks me.”

Francesca plopped onto the sofa and grabbed a pillow, holding it to her chest, then she just spit it out. “Not even ageplay?”

“Francesca!” Mia nearly screamed.

“Mia! You said you wouldn’t judge me!”

“No! No, it’s not that. But I’m into it, too. I’m aLittle.”

“What? You are?Mia! So am I!”

Mia let out a loud squeal. “Eeee! Why didn’t you tell me before now? O. M. G! We could have been showing off our stuffies and coloring together on Facetime this whole time! That’s what my club is all about—it’s called Club Sweet PEA, and it’s just for Littles and Middles.”

“It is? Oh my gosh!” Frankie’s heart was still beating a hundred miles an hour, but now it was sheer glee at having someone she trusted to share her true self with.

“You have to tell me alllll about him!” Mia demanded. “Is he a Daddy? What’s his name? How did you meet him? Is he nice? He better be! What can I help with?” her cousin asked, the questions rapid-firing in her excitement.

“Yes, he’s a Daddy, and his name is Luca. And I met him through this service; it’s like a phone line, ‘cause I don’t really have time to meet anyone, you know? And he’s… gosh, he’s so nice to me, and so sexy, and I haven’t ever seen him in person, but I’m going to tomorrow, and I need your help!”

“Wow. Okay, that’s a lot.”

“Yep,” she answered, realizing during the course of the conversation they were both slipping a bit into Little space. But it felt so natural, now that she knew they were both Littles. “So, the thing is, we’ve only ever talked on the phone. And I told him I always wanted to be a baker, so tomorrow he’s coming over and bringing baking stuff, ‘cause you know I don’t have any of the stuff I need here, and I know it’ll be fun, but I’m sooooo super nervous! How do I act? What do I wear? Is it weird that he’s coming to my house the first time we see each other? I mean, that’s why I called you. I know I need to have a safe call even more than when I was regular dating and there’s no one here I can tell.”

“Yep, that’s right,” Mia said. “I wish I was closer, or that you knew someone in Dallas to trust, but tell me about the service. Is it a dating service?”

“Nope, it’s called Dial-A-Daddy.”

“Oh! I’ve heard of it.”

“You have?”
