“Please tell me you didn’t break her,” Dean groaned, rejoining us with the rest of the food to add to the grill.

“Look, I was just being honest with her, and I told her it would be hot to see Cole enjoying himself while you dicked me down. It’s not like I admitted to her it would be even hotter if she was there enjoying herself too.”

Fuck, I was so damn glad I had taken to wearing my scent-blocking panties as an extra precaution. I’d gotten into a habit of it this past week, and it sure had saved my ass more than once.

Even with my blockers, I was halfway convinced they’d somehow be able to tell that we were all scent-matched and that wasn’t something I wanted to deal with right now when Cole and I were finding our footing and everything with Theo.

Not that it was easy to resist them, because it sure as hell wasn’t.

I’d have to be blind not to notice the way Dean’s muscles rippled every time he picked something up or moved. Or his ass in those tight jeans that hugged every inch of his powerful legs.

The way they looked at each other and me.

It wasn’t like I didn’t notice the things Bash said between the lines. They wanted me too. That thought kept creeping into my mind even as I tried my best to ignore it for now.

That’s not to mention Miles, who smelled like smoked vanilla and–you fucking guessed it–was mine too and so damn cute and Miller, who grounded me every time I met his green eyes.

It felt like I was fighting a losing battle, or rather, one I wasn’t sure I wanted to win.

Truthfully, I was exhausted. That had been my constant state these past three years, but I had made it work because I had to and because I didn’t back down from a challenge. I was just thankful my headache had taken a bit of a reprieve today.

“For Hollows’ sake,” Dean growled. “What am I going to do with you, Bash? I love you, but you can’t just go around propositioning people like that. I’m sorry, Summer.”

“Don’t be mad at him,” I said, shaking my head. “I wanted honesty, and he gave it to me. I can’t exactly blame him for having good taste.”

“Who has good taste?” Cole asked, walking up with Theo on his hip.

Damn, if that sight didn’t have me shifting in my seat all over again. This was going to get out of hand real fast if it was always going to be like this.

“You,” Bash said, looking like he’d just won a trophy. “You definitely have good taste. I can see why you’re drawn to Sunshine over here.”

Cole smiled, that halfway crooked one that always did me in, as he hugged Theo closer. “She’s one of a kind.”

Heat didn't just creep into my cheeks, it flared. My poor face was on fire as Bash drew their attention to me.

"Okay, okay, enough about me," I protested, standing up to escape. Maybe Miles needed help or something. The moment I stood, far too quickly, the world spun.

"Summer?" I couldn't figure out who called to me, but soon I was surrounded by strong arms and the scent of mint and orange blossom. Miller. He must have joined us when I was trying to keep my cool. "What's wrong?"

The world fixed itself in seconds, the dizziness passing quickly. I took a shaky breath and put on a strained smile that I'm sure did not look as calm as I was hoping for.

"I'm fine, sorry, just stood up a bit too fast. Probably left over from the headache."

My eyes danced from one of the men to the next, not a single one buying it. Everyone looked worried, and Cole was doing his best to shield Theo from seeing me pass out. Though he relaxed now that I was regaining my composure.

"Maybe you should eat something, come on," Bash said, hooking his arm around mine and pulling me to the large patio table. The guys busied themselves preparing the sides, and I was served first, along with the first burger from the grill.

"No, I need to feed Theo first," I protested. He always came first, and I was fine now, but Miller stopped me with one look. It was stern, a single eyebrow raised and eyes challenging me to defy him. Damn. That was way sexier than it should be.

"I've fed a kid before. I can handle it. Sit yourself down and eat, omega." It wasn't a request, but an order. He wasn't harsh in his delivery, just firm.

"Alright," I squeaked out, popping a cheese cube in my mouth and chewing. He nodded once in approval and glanced at Miles.

"Get our omega a drink. If we brought it, something with electrolytes."

The man was going to make me pass out again on the spot after so casually calling me their omega, but this time for an entirely different reason.

Miles jumped into action, digging into the cooler they brought and standing up with a triumphant smile and two drinks in hand, one purple, one blue.
