This was what having a pack was about.

"What's burning?" Theo asked, breaking the moment. Summer let out a light laugh and kicked on the overhead vent while I took the well-done pancake off the pan, tossing it aside since no one would want to eat that.

"Hey, everyone's up," Miles said as he came in. Summer's eyes slowly raked over his form, clothes sticking tight to his skin thanks to the layer of sweat he had on his body. His cheeks flared red at her obvious ogling, but he just cleared his throat. "I'll head up and take a quick shower. Normally I'd ask if you want to join me, but breakfast is waiting." He gave her a wink that was bold for him before bounding up the stairs two at a time.

"Damn, that was smooth," Dean chuckled. "Miles has more game than I thought."

Summer just hummed in agreement before helping carry drinks to the table.

"Wait, we need to wake up Bash."

"We've got this," I grinned, scooping Theo up. "I need my helper, though."

Summer trailed after us with a grin on her face. We stopped outside of their room, and I turned to her.

"Is he decent?"

"He's clothed," she promised. "I warned that wasn't an option with Theo around." She tickled her son for good measure, his giggles loud.

"Alright, we have to wake Bash, think you can help me?" I whispered conspiratorially. Theo nodded, face serious at his new job.

"I'll help," Summer promised, taking his hand and leading him around to the side of the bed where Bash was snuggled close to the edge. They crouched down and Theo's giggles had Bash's eyes cracking open.

"Boo!" Theo shouted, making Bash startle dramatically, clutching at his chest and gasping. It was all theatrics, and the way Theo cackled had all three of us laughing along with him.

"Good morning, little ghost," Bash teased, booping Theo on the nose and stretching. "I smell breakfast."

"Miller cooked for us, time to get up," Summer said, throwing the blankets off of Bash for good measure as we filed out of the room. For the first time since I'd known him, there was no hesitation as he crawled out of bed and pulled on clothes.

Soon my entire pack was seated around the table. Fuck, it did things to my heart seeing them like this, happy and content as they passed around platters of food. The alpha in me swelled in pride, knowing I provided this for them, created this moment.

Damn, Miles was right.

I was already the alpha they needed. I just had to let her in.

"You alright?" Dean asked quietly. My returned smile was genuine.

"Everything is perfect," I promised him.

Halfway through the meal, Theo had already roped Miles into showing him the backyard. Dean, Cole, and Bash offered to handle the cleanup. Which left Summer and I alone at the now-empty table.

Summer stood up and came over to me, gesturing for me to scoot back. When I made enough room, she sat down in my lap.

"Are you doing alright?" she asked quietly as she breathed in deep. Her gorgeous blue eyes studied me as she chewed gently on her lip. She was nervous and I didn't want her to question us.

"I'm great," I admitted. "Surprised to be included, but grateful."

She smiled softly at my admission.

"You complete us," she said, simple as that.

"No, you do," I said with a deep chuckle. My chest rumbled in a purr as she leaned in close, nuzzling her nose against my neck. Seeing her open up and be bold like this had my cock twitching, but we both ignored it for now. "Care to see the rest of the pack house?"

"I heard you built this?" she questioned as she gave me one last kiss and climbed off, holding out a hand for me to take. I kept mine in hers as I pulled her away from the kitchen and toward the front of the house.

"We did," I corrected. "And had plenty of help from contractors. I wanted a space for us all and extra rooms in case we grew. Good thing I did."

"I'm still in shock you have a place already for Theo," she admitted. "Though I hear he roped Cole into having a sleepover."
