Her soul.

Blake Dufort was claiming her. All she had to do was say yes.

For real this time.

CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

Her feet weren’t touchingthe ground, but even if they had been, Bella was sure she would’ve floated after that kiss.

“Blake,” she gasped softly.

She had missed him so much, and after the day she’d had, she felt like crying. Also, it might have been the three cocktails she’d had after leaving Cain.

“Let’s go,” he ordered, tossing some cash on the bar.

“I thought you’d left?” Bella questioned.

“I was with my cousins,” he replied.

“You left me,” she said, the emotions bubbling to the surface. “Blake, you left me.”

He stared down at her. Really stared. His eyes roamed her face and she could see the intensity of his gray orbs. The same ones that gazed down at her when they were making love.

But it wasn’t love.

Was it?

“I won’t do that again. Ever,” Blake assured as he took hold of her chin gently.

Bella nodded and moved her face from his fingers. “No, of course not. Because of the money.”

“Bella,” he warned her.

But she’d had enough. Her father had manipulated her life without even knowing her. For money. Cain had left her. For money.

Blake was marrying her.
