Well fuck me, Hunter’s a Dom.

“I didn’t know.” The corner of his lip twitched.

“I own a club here in NYC if things don’t work out.” Hunter smirked. “But I have a feeling they will. What’s your kink?”

“I’m not a full Dom, but I’m all about giving praise.”

“Is that Bella’s kink?”

His cock woke up, just thinking about her kneeling as he inserted plug number two inside her.

“Oh yeah, without a doubt.” Blake smiled. “I let her know she’s safe and appreciated on the regular.”

“I bet you do.” Hunter smirked. “But I’m willing to bet what Bella needs right now is to know how you feel about her. Fuck the contract. Fuck the money. When you find the right woman, none of it matters.”

Blake nodded.

That was exactly how he felt.

When he went to climb out a second time, he inched back and asked, “Tell me. Why are you waiting to propose to Addy?”

Hunter’s smile stretched. “Because, for Addison, the anticipation is the best part. Even if she doesn’t know it.”

Blake laughed, then opened the door and said his goodbyes.

Glancing up at the huge Dufort logo, he watched Hunter’s car drive away, then nodded at the doorman and strode through the lobby.

Blake had no idea whether Bella would be in their hotel room or elsewhere. To say he felt sick to his stomach was an understatement. Although some of it was probably the pizza, electrolytes, and Macallan having a party in there.

His finger was inches from the elevator button when something made him turn around. The subtle lounge music from the bar made its way to him. He followed the piano sounds and stood in the doorway, glancing inside.

On the barstool sat a beautiful, dark-haired woman.

Mine.

Blake slid a hand into his pocket and slowly made his way over to her.

Despite the fresh shirt, he was a mess. His hair was mussed, the shirt didn’t exactly fit as well as his own, his pants were wrinkled, and his Armani jacket needed dry cleaning.

He smelled like pizza and lawyers.

But he wasn’t waiting another second.

As he approached, Bella turned, and her mouth parted when she saw him. He was tempted to hesitate, but the sparkle in her eyes gave him the green light. So he kept going, walking right up to her, then cupped her face.

When she went to speak, he shook his head.

“Just tell me one thing. Is he here?” Blake asked. “Is he here?”

It took her a moment to respond as her eyes searched his.

“No,” Bella whispered.

The moment the word left her mouth, his was on hers, kissing her in a way he never had. With anyone. Showing her how he felt. That he wanted her.

Her body.

Her heart.
