“Nervous?” Jacob asked from beside him.

“Not even a bit,” he said, not moving his eyes from the arched hedge. He knew Bella would be walking through any moment.

He wasn’t going to miss a second.

“He’s fidgeting. He’s nervous,” Taylor teased.

Blake smirked. “Fuck off. Wait until you both stand in my shoes.”

A lot of spluttering andno goddamn wayscame out of their mouths, but he was no longer listening.

The music started and Rhonda walked down the aisle, grinning as she held a colorful bouquet.

Then he saw her.

Blake’s world spun. God, Bella was so fucking beautiful.

Her mermaid style gown hugged her sexy frame and had a small train which circled around her. A short veil fell from the back of her hair and brushed her arms.

The bodice sparkled in the late afternoon sun, but it was nothing compared to the glistening eyes that met his own.

Be still my fucking beating heart.

This woman will belong to me in ten minutes.

Hurry the hell up and get down here.

She gave him a watery smile and looped her arm through Ward’s, looking tiny next to the big man as he gazed down at her protectively.

Blake had taken a minute with her father earlier, but when he went to speak, the founder of Verity & Co. had simply laid a heavy hand on his shoulder and nodded.

“You have my blessing, son.”

“Fuck, Ward. You’ll mess up my makeup.” Blake blew out a long breath.

“If you’ve got any makeup on, then you need to vacate the property.” Ward laughed. “Now, let me go get my daughter.”

He watched her every step, never let his eyes move an inch as Bella made her way to him.

When they reached Blake, Ward pressed a kiss to Bella’s cheek and handed her to him.

Mine.

“We are gathered here today—” their marriage officiant, Stefanie, began.

Blake put his hands on Bella’s hips and tugged her up against him.

“Ah, Mr. Dufort—” Stefanie spluttered as a few of the men around started laughing.

“Blake.” Bella giggled.

Then he pressed his mouth to hers with force, kissing his bride. Because life was way too short to wait for permission, and they’d done everything back to front from the start.

“Let’s continue.” he grinned.

BELLA RESTED HER HEADagainst Blake's shoulder as he carried her across the threshold. Also known as the door to their condo.
