“As I said, we negotiate,” Blake replied. “I’m not letting you marry anyone else, Bella. So get that out of your pretty little head. We are doing this together. Starting now.”

Including living together as any couple who had fallen in love so fast.

He tried to tell himself it was to appear legitimate, but that was a lie. He wanted her sweet pussy in his bed every night.

The sooner he had a ring on her finger, the better.

This deal was his.

She was his.

CHAPTER NINETEEN

Bella flopped ontoher bed and stared up at the ceiling. Her brain was jelly after spending another day with the lawyers going through every scenario.

They were doing their job, but she couldn’t help thinking they thought every human on the planet was a lying, cheating criminal.

It had messed with her head and at least twice she’d said, “I’m not sure I should do this.”

To which they’d just sat there and nodded.

“But I have to,” she’d added.

“You could meet someone,” Bill, her lawyer, said, dropping his pen.

“In less than three months?”

It was highly unlikely, and they knew it.

“Yes.” Bill nodded. “Look, the Dufort’s are well-known, reputable businesspeople, so you have chosen well, but there’s a little thing called love.”

The now familiar shame rushed through her again. Poor unwanted Bella. Can’t get a real man even though you are worth billions.

Not that anyone knew that.

Or that she had tried dating.
