Her parents had been furious, of course, but she was financially independent and didn’t need anyone’s permission.

Samantha loved her boys. They were her entire world. They weren’t lacking in male role models. Her father—once he got over the shock—and brother, Andrew, were a big part of their life.

She was proud of how she’d raised her kids, ensuring they were close to their cousins. Or half of them, at least. Her brother, Jonathan, was estranged from the family, so until recently, Blake and Jacob hadn’t met their other three cousins.

Last year they connected once more.

Now, Blake was marrying Bella Montgomery.

Shit.

Now Samantha would have to face Ward. Worse, he was about to meet the son he never knew he had.

No, what was worse, was having to tell Jacob his father had been living only a few miles away all his life.

Or she could say nothing.

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

Over the next few weeks, Blake found himself settling into a new routine at home with Bella.

She woke later than he did, but it meant he got his workout done in his home gym, and then when he returned all sweaty and ready to fuck her, she was sleepy and pliable.

So far, he’d not heard the wordraindropsonce.

However, he hadn’t shown her the butt plugs he’d purchased for her, either.

The first week she’d lived with him, they had been focused on the contract. That and fielding calls from their families about their engagement. Bella had told her brothers and father, and like his family, they were shocked and had a lot of questions.

Except Knox.

He knew but was keeping their secret.

Then Jacob had shown up at his office with lunch one day.

“You free?” he asked, lifting the Taco Bell bag.
