“You can relax. There’s no sign of who you know who,” I reassure making her relax.

“I leave you for five minutes and look what happens, not one but two guys chatting up my girl.”

“Stop it,” I sing song. “He was just saying hi is all. Besides he’s never once looked at me in school in that way. I didn’t even think he knew my name if I’m being honest.”

Her lip quirks up with a knowing smile, “He clearly does. What did he say to you?”

I pop the lid on my lipstick reapplying some to my lips then blot on a soft tissue trying hard not to think about Caleb in that moment when I tell her he asked if he could dance with me later.

“What did you say?” she asks excitedly.

“I told him maybe and that I had to go and find you.”

“Ouch. That must have damaged his huge ego. Not many turn those blue eyes down. He’s stupid hot.”

“He’s okay I guess,” I say bumping her shoulder.

“Okay? What do you mean he’s okay?” she giggles. “He’s one of the fittest guys in our school.”

I don’t answer when we walk back out into the club that’s become so packed we have to push and shove our way past people to get to our table which is now loaded with different drinks and people sitting in our seats. We did leave them after all, can’t blame people for thinking they were empty.

Just then the long-awaited DJ comes on starting off his set with playing a song we both love.

“I love this song. Let’s dance.” Lexy shouts guiding me towards the dance floor.

Lexy sings the lyrics to the song as we make our way to the dance floor that’s wall to wall with people dancing. The vibe of the music takes over our bodies and I come alive as if a syringe full of adrenaline has been shot in my heart, firing me up taking me higher and higher as the rhythm takes over.

We dance together with seductive moves but out of the corner of my eye I spot Jason and his friends watching us setting my creep detector on high alert.

“How about that dance now?” he asks moving in towards me but before I can answer him strong hands wrap around my waist making me jump.

“Don’t take this the wrong way but I’m just not….” I begin to say but stop abruptly when the familiar scent of HIS cologne fills my senses. I still stand by what I said the last time I was speaking to him but right now I’m too buzzed to think about it. My body instantly fills with desire as I turn into his neck breathing him in. When I close my eyes it’s just him and I here and no one else. His hand wraps around me in a possessive hold pulling my back tight to his chest. I grind my ass into the bulge in his jeans with sleek and sexy moves.

“You look so fucking hot in that dress,” he rasps.

“Thanks.”

“You won’t be thanking me when I’m ripping it from your body,” his hot breath whispers into my damp skin.

“I will kill every man in here just for looking at what’s mine.”

Remembering what he did with Georgina I stop dead in my tracks, his words pulling me out of my trance.

“I don’t belong to anyone. Least of all you,” I say with finality.

Walking away from him I scan the room for Lexy. If Caleb’s here, then that means….

I spin on my heels back to him.

“Where is she? What has he done with her?”

“She’s safe,” he says pointing to the exit.

I look over to where he’s pointing to see Lexy being dragged out the door hand in hand with Saint. Something in their touch that tells me she doesn’t seem too mad about it. I go to move towards them but Caleb grabs my wrist pulling me to a stop spinning me round to face him. Before I can protest I’m backed up against a wall.

“Don’t Caleb. I meant what I said to you before. That hasn’t changed. I don’t want to do this push and pull thing with you anymore and I sure as fuck won’t be used.”

He lifts a hand to my face tenderly stroking my cheek.
