“Great.” My stomach churned again, harder, and my eyes flew open.

What little food I’d eaten that day.
Sebastian handed me a wipe to clean my face as I sat back on my ass, eyes watering.
I felt better, despite the tremble in my body and the stiffness in my feet. It had been too long since I fed, because I had been trying not to touch the blood bags, to build up an emergency stock.
“I’m sorry, Miley. I wish I had another answer for you. Find your donor and have an honest conversation with him,” Charlie said gently.
I cleaned my face carefully, not letting myself look down at the blood-stained wipe.
Apparently, I had no other option.

I paced my living room,fists clenched hard at my sides. The nightclub’s security cameras were running on half of my TV’s screen, my laptop sat on the couch where I’d abandoned it, and the box of candy I’d bought earlier that day was already empty.
My gaze was fixed on the video I had running over the other half of the screen.
A replay of Miley, at the vampire nightclub, letting a human man lead her across the room. The camera switched, and from another angle, I watched them slip into the booth together.
His hands moved over her ass and thighs while she bit him, and drank. Her hips moved, and she rocked against him.
I snarled, but let the video play.
She walked away from him quickly, hurrying to Bash’s side. She wiped blood off her lip, and didn’t look back.
If she’d fucked him, I would’ve broken my TV’s screen.
Followed by his spine.
A notification popped up on the screen, telling me Bash was at the door. I hit the button to ignore it.
I couldn’t deal with the bastard, knowing he had stood by while she fed on someone other than me.
The possessiveness was irrational.
The desire was irrational.
Everythingwas irrational.
But that was the shit you had to deal with when it came to a potential mate.
The door swung open after a moment, and I swore under my breath.
