‘It is, isn’t it?’

‘I’ve got my costume on under this because I thought I might take a dip later. Swimming is good for the circulation and all that.’

‘Indeed it is.’ Brooke smiled. ‘Nolan went to get coffee. Shall I run after him and ask him to get you one?’

‘It’s all right, dear, I saw him leaving so I sent him a text asking for an iced mocha.’

Brooke laughed. ‘You don’t miss a trick, do you?’

‘Never!’ Clover winked at her, then squeezed her arm. ‘How’s our girl doing?’

‘Brilliantly,’ Brooke said.

‘Good! Being able to swim is important. I’ll go and let her know I’m here. BRB.’ Clover blew her a kiss, then headed over to the poolside where she clapped in encouragement.

Brooke wiped at her eyes behind her sunglasses. Moving to Wisteria Hollow had given her and Allegra a whole new set of friends, along with two friends who’d become family. In Clover and Nolan, she felt she’d found the people she’d been missing after Aidan passed away. She had found her people. She was finally home.

Brooke was happier than she could ever have thought possible after she’d lost her husband, and it was all because she was starting over on Sunflower Street.

The End
